Bug#489314: Maintaining the spread package
Hi I am willing to take over the maintenance of the spread package, and to update it to the latest upstream version 4.1.0 (the current version in the 3.17.4 is many years old...). But I am new to maintaining debian packages: could anyone give me a pointer on where to start? I have already created the new package, but cannot find how to submit it to the debian package system. Best regards Robert

Vescovi" Hi! YafaRay Project (former yafray, now dead) consists of two parts: + Core software, doing the heavy-duty work (ITP #638653); + Exporter software, that creates a interface between the modeler (in this case, Blender) and the raytracing engine. I've already worked a lot on the first one and going to look for a sponsor (I'm still a sponsored maintainer). Its packaging is ready, even if the software is not considered stable yet by upstream authors. Now I'm working on the exporter and it's easy, since it consists in few python files to be copied as addons for Blender. * Package name: yafaray-blender2.5-exporter Version : 0.1.2~beta2 Upstream Author : Bert Buchholz Michele Castigliego Rodrigo Placencia Vázquez * URL : http://www.yafaray.org/ * License : GPL-2+ Programming Lang: Python Description : YafaRay Exporter for Blender 2.5x YafaRay Exporter for Blender 2.5 allows exporting a Blender 3D model in a way that YafaRay rendering engine can understand and work on it to provide a good rendering alternative besides the Blender (and others) one. -- Il messaggio e' stato analizzato alla ricerca di virus o contenuti pericolosi da MailScanner, ed e' risultato non infetto. --- End Message --- --- Begin Message --- Source: yafaray-blender2.5-exporter Source-Version: 0.1.2~beta2.1-1 We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of yafaray-blender2.5-exporter, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive: yafaray-blender2.5-exporter_0.1.2~beta2.1-1.debian.tar.gz to main/y/yafaray-blender2.5-exporter/yafaray-blender2.5-exporter_0.1.2~beta2.1-1.debian.tar.gz yafaray-blender2.5-exporter_0.1.2~beta2.1-1.dsc to main/y/yafaray-blender2.5-exporter/yafaray-blender2.5-exporter_0.1.2~beta2.1-1.dsc yafaray-blender2.5-exporter_0.1.2~beta2.1-1_all.deb to main/y/yafaray-blender2.5-exporter/yafaray-blender2.5-exporter_0.1.2~beta2.1-1_all.deb yafaray-blender2.5-exporter_0.1.2~beta2.1.orig.tar.gz to main/y/yafaray-blender2.5-exporter/yafaray-blender2.5-exporter_0.1.2~beta2.1.orig.tar.gz A summary of the changes between this version and the previous one is attached. Bug#643961: Packaging libmonitoring-availability-perl
Hi Alexander I just noticed that you already tagged the RFP with 'pending' but did not saw any upload to the NEW queue. I would like to ask, if you already packaged it. The reason I ask is, that I just startet with the packaging of it in the Debian Perl Group repo [1]. [1] http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=pkg-perl/packages/libmonitoring-availability-perl.git So it is quite finished. Would you like to maintain libmonitoring-availability-perl yourself? Else I could maintain it under the Debian Perl Group umbrella. Regards Salvatore signature.asc Description: Digital signature
