Bug#560244:

2011-10-21 Thread Steven Ayre
I have created a github for the debian packaging. Currently based on MySQL
Cluster 7.1.15a.

http://github.com/SteveAyre/mysql-cluster-7.1

Currently still a work-in-progress.

Bug#627518: how is it going with the ITP? it will be needed for upcoming ipython

2011-10-21 Thread Julien Jehannet
(I've added Debian Javascript team in CC since they can be concerned as well)

I tried to reach Patrick Ringl in private last week but without success.

I don't know if it's duplicate work but I've packaged `libjs-mathjax` for
internal use.
If someone has to build the binary package (or wants to review the packaging),
you can find
the debian files here:

http://bitbucket.org/juj/debian-libjs-mathjax

There are pending issues before a possible inclusion in Debian:
- possibly wrong doc-base metadata
- waiting for a confirmation of MathJax author(s) for copyright
  section (email address especially)

Some notes:
- use same Apache2 license for the packaging (best practice ?)
- no include of the MathJax site content (for offline browsing)
- use symlinks to jquery and underscore js libraries
- mention sphinx project for some copyrighted files
- use lintian override to avoid warning about Package-List field
  http://lists.debian.org/debian-policy/2011/03/msg00155.html
- upstream LICENSE file has no valid copyright holder

Hope that could help Patrick.

Best regards,

I have less time for packaging work these days, especially for packages
I have no personal or work connection to. Therefore, I am orphaning
udptunnel.

Even though I have some time available at Debconf, I'm orphaning this
now so that the adopter can use the Debconf time instead going forward.

 Description :Xorg Multitouch Trackpad Driver

This X input driver provides gestures support for multitouch
touchpads, in particular those with integrated button.

Note: Debian has already had xf86-input-multitouch as a similar package.
xf86-input-mtrack is an extension of xf86-input-multitouch
and has the extensibility of the touchpad function.
I am going to replace from xf86-input-multitouch to xf86-input-mtrack.

I am not really sure I have an intent to package, in the sense of
becoming maintainer. I just packaged it, am using it, you can get it via

git clone git://pietrobattiston.it/runsnakerun_deb
git clone git://pietrobattiston.it/squaremap_deb

(and then
  cd runsnakerun_deb
  git-buildpackage
)
and already compiled for Ubuntu Karmic at

https://launchpad.net/~toobaz/+archive/runsnakerun/ .

The package also contains a (I find it) nice wrapper I created to do
something like
  runsnake_run app_python
and get directly the profiler output.

I just don't know, because of time constraints and life priorities, if I
will ever
- write the manpages
- check the myriad of other small things that surely need fixing
- take the responsibility of becoming its maintainer

The goal of this bug is
- to allow potential packagers to not duplicate work
- to allow potential users to contact me asking please, do package
it!, since I also frankly ignore if it is/would be used.

Software::Release is a purely informational collection of objects that you
can use to represent a release of software. Its original use-case was to
provide a contract between a git log parser and a formatter class that
outputs a changelog, but it may be useful to others to create bug trackers,
dashboards or whathaveyour.

Note that this package is needed by the new version of

Hello,

I would like to package, under the umbrella of the ruby-extras team, the
ruby library ruby-pdf-reader, hich is necessary to upgrade libprawn-ruby
(soon to be renamed ruby-prawn) to a newer version.

* Package name: ruby-pdf-reader
  Version : 0.10.0
Upstream Author : Peter Jones pjo...@pmade.com, James Healy
ji...@deefa.com
* URL : http://github.com/yob/pdf-reader
* License : Expat
  Programming Lang: Ruby
Description : Ruby library for accessing the content of PDF files

The PDF::Reader library implements a PDF parser conforming as much as possible
to the PDF specification from Adobe. It provides programmatic access to the
contents of a PDF file with a high degree of flexibility.

This is primarily a low-level library that should be used as the
foundation for higher level functionality. There are a few exceptions
to support very common use cases like extracting text from a page.

jsonpipe traverses a JSON object and produces a simple, line-based textual
format which can be processed by all your UNIX favourites like grep, sed,
awk, cut and diff. It may also be valuable within
programming languages---in fact, it was originally conceived as a way of
writing simple test assertions against JSON output without coupling the tests
too closely to the specific structure used.

I will certainly do so, and thanks for the pointer.
