Bug#644767: patch away npm routines instead of depending on npm
Hi, I noticed that the dependencies are almost satisfied by now. Very exciting! Your packaging at git.debian.org:/git/pkg-grass/tilemill declare a dependency on npm which I found odd and looking closely it seems the only use of npm is for checking if tilemill itself is up-to-date and allowing self-update and removal from within the application. That will most likely fail due to the application not being installed with npm in the first place, and I recommend to at least dorp that dependency and better to also patch the code to not offer those npm-specific features. - Jonas -- * Jonas Smedegaard - idealist & Internet-arkitekt * Tlf.: +45 40843136 Website: http://dr.jones.dk/ [x] quote me freely [ ] ask before reusing [ ] keep private signature.asc Description: Digital signature

Bug#670065: ITP: pear-symfony-project-channel -- PEAR Symfony Project channel definition file
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: Thomas Goirand * Package name: pear-symfony-project-channel Version : 1.0-1 Upstream Author : Thomas Goirand * URL : http://pear.symfony-project.com/ * License : BSD Programming Lang: XML Description : PEAR Symfony Project channel definition file Long description: This is the PEAR channel registry entry for the Symfony Project. PEAR is a framework and distribution system for reusable PHP components. A PEAR channel is a website that provides package for download and a few extra meta-information for files. The Symfony Project is a PHP Web Framework. A bit of background: The Debian PKG-PEAR team is currently making an effort to package PHPUnit, which is a unit testing framework. One of the dependency of PHPUnit is php-symfony-yaml (see #613425), which is why we need the Symfony Project channel definition file to be packaged in Debian (to make it possible to continue to use "pear install" for PEAR packages not in Debian, and have consistancy in the system). We believe that using PHPUnit is moving toward the correct direction of improving the quality of PEAR packages, by finally activating unit testing in the build process of PEAR packages (this is a long term goal, which I don't think will be reachable before the freeze of Wheezy, unfortunately). -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-wnpp-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Package: wnpp Severity: normal I request an adopter for the fofix-dfsg package. The package description is: FoFiX (Frets on Fire X) is a fork of Frets on Fire with many added features. The object of the game is to accurately play guitar, bass, or drums using the keyboard (or guitar and drum controllers from Guitar Hero(tm) and Rock Band(tm)) and to sing lyrics as accurately as possible. Many different single-player and multi-player game modes are available. Bug#670041: ITP: libbiblio-thesaurus-perl -- Biblio::Thesaurus - Perl extension for managing ISO thesaurus
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: Nuno Carvalho * Package name: libbiblio-thesaurus-perl Version : 0.42 Upstream Author : Alberto Simões * URL : http://search.cpan.org/dist/Biblio-Thesaurus/ * License : Artistic or GPL-1+ Programming Lang: Perl Description : Biblio::Thesaurus - Perl extension for managing ISO thesaurus A Thesaurus is a classification structure. We can see it as a graph where nodes are terms and the vertices are relations between terms. This module provides transparent methods to maintain Thesaurus files. The module uses a subset from ISO 2788 which defines some standard features to be found on thesaurus files. This ISO includes a set of relations that can be seen as standard but, this program can use user defined ones. So, it can be used on ISO or not ISO thesaurus files. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-wnpp-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? I'll see that I'll have a look in the next 2 weeks but wouldnt mind if someone does it earlier! dget'ing the files at least now, so I can look at them when I'm bored offline :) cheers, Holger -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-wnpp-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". I actually started from the debian-multimedia packaging, and hacked out all the bits that depended on packages outside of Debian, as well as dependency cruft that applied to previous versions but not to the current version. I've managed to successfully build working squeeze packages at this point, which only depend on packages in Debian to build and run; installing them requires a couple of packages from squeeze-backports (fonts-droid, libmp3lame0, libx264-120, libxvidcore4), and a locally built backport of libcrystalhd3, and all the rest of the dependencies come from squeeze. > I presume if these are local packages, you're using reprepro > or something similar to host a local archive. In such a case, you may > as well build packages of libcrystalhd and upload them to your local > archive. Then you can build mythtv. I did end up building local packages of crystalhd and libcec, which proved relatively straightforward. > Note that mythtv is using it's own copy of ffmpeg. Yeah, I do know about that problem. Arguably not an issue for an upload to Debian experimental; only an issue for having a version in a security-supportable release. Considering that upstream went out of their way to remove support for system libav/ffmpeg (due to issues with different versions on end-user systems, particularly versions of the command-line tools), I suspect they might not like the idea of adding it back, or for that matter the idea of adding support for using avconv rather than ffmpeg. This needs a long conversation with upstream before attempting to write a patch; no sense writing a patch that'll never make it upstream. - Josh Triplett -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-wnpp-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
