Nevermind about that, I will package it, I doubt it will be much

Bug#677174: RFA: python-minimock -- simple library for Python mock objects

2012-06-11 Thread Ben Finney
Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

I have not been an active user of ‘python-minimock’ for a while, and no
longer want to maintain the package. If someone else want to take over
maintaining this package, I would be happy to help the transition.

It has packaging files under VCS, and a recent release of the latest
upstream version (1.2.7) in Debian.

Bug#634186: ITA: circuits -- event-driven framework with a component architecture

2012-06-11 Thread Daniele Tricoli
Hello Bart,

On Monday 11 June 2012 10:02:26 Bart Martens wrote:
> How is progress on this ITA ? What is the tag "pending" for ?

I have quite completed and fixed all the issue. I have to (and I'm going to
work on them right now):
1) Fix 2 simple SyntaxError for the Python3 package
2) Convert debian/copyright to DEP5

I added the pending tag simply with the commit log before sending the
manpages I wrote for the CLI tools upstream: upstream included them and
also told me that he was releasing circuits 1.7 so I waited. But since the
freeze is approaching I'm going to complete the packaging of circuits 1.6.

Thanks for pointing, I'm aware of them but since circuits is maintained
under the umbrella of DPMT I will, at first, ask for a review and
sponsoring there: I think that I will easily find a sponsor iside the team.

As said, I'm working right now on the packaging and I hope to get circuits
uploaded in max 2 days.

Kind regards,

As a local copy somewhere on my computer's disk isn't very useful for
others, I set up copies at the following locations:

http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=users/abe/mirrors/mssh.git (Upstream)
http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=users/abe/mirrors/debian-mssh.git
(Packaging)

Should show up within the next 6 hours.

Done herewith. :-)

I'd prefer to let the Vcs-* headers point to the (moved) original
repositories for now, but maybe with my copies as commented out
alternative Vcs-* headers in debian/control, so future maintainer can
easily find them via "apt-get source mssh".

Hello NumPy maintainers,

It would nice if you could make a package with the numpydoc sphinx
extension that is embedded in numpy source in doc/sphinxext (otherwise,
there is seperate tarball on pypi). In particular, this would make it
possible to build scipy documentation (either from source or package,
see #600547).

Thanks for considering,
Denis

Please note that Bradley Smith also is/was the upstream of mssh, hence
anyone taking over this package should also take over upstream
maintenance/development.

... which is also the reason why I won't adopt this package despite
I'm a happy mssh user and prefer it over clusterssh and mussh. (I
already maintain the Debian package of pconsole which is a way more
generic tool, but can also serve for the same purpose as mssh.)

Nevertheless, I'm happy to sponsor this package if some non-DD wants
to take over mssh. I'd also maintain it as package in Debian in case
someone else takes over upstream.

> Vcs-Git: http://git.brad-smith.co.uk/git/debian/pkg-mssh.git

These are no more valid. The current URLs are:

Vcs-Browser: http://git.brad-smith.co.uk/?p=debian-old/mssh.git
Vcs-Git: http://git.brad-smith.co.uk/git/debian-old/mssh.git/

I made a local copy of these two repos, in case they vanish even more.

Regards, Axel

You do not need to pull 7M

See doc of gnulib-tool

I could send you a bare down gnulib passfd of a few kb if needed

Honestly, it's the first time I hear about it.. It seems nice and I
like your code, but being something that is not a common dependency
(sid shows zero rdepends) and that is big (7Mb), I am not comfortable
using it for a module that would be otherwise just a few kb... And for
non-Debian users this might be a nightmare.

It is a pity, because you have the problem completely solved there.

they give to people who want to become Debian Maintainers.

> Gnulib provide a passfd api tested on all unix, could you try to use it?

Honestly, it's the first time I hear about it.. It seems nice and I
like your code, but being something that is not a common dependency
(sid shows zero rdepends) and that is big (7Mb), I am not comfortable
using it for a module that would be otherwise just a few kb... And for
non-Debian users this might be a nightmare.

It is a pity, because you have the problem completely solved there.

php-net-url2 package is in the NEW [0] queue since 27 April 2012.

There were problems with debian/copyright [1] so I'm still waiting for
ftp-masters answer in order
to know how to proceed.

I'll forward communication with FTP Masters to you in a minute.

It's OK with me if you want to take over the package.

The git repository is under [2].
