Bug#681284: O: ginspector

2012-07-11 Thread Niibe Yutaka
Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

I intend to orphan the ginspector package. This package was written
for old GTK, and upstream is inactive. For newer GTK, this is now
outdated.

The package description is:
G-Inspector invokes a GTK+ application and inspects its objects.
It shows widgets hierarchy, properties of widgets, etc.
It can blink a specific widget instance so that you can identify it.
It can handle Glib objects too.

Description : PredictNLS is an automated tool for the analysis and in
silico determination of Nuclear Localization Signals (NLS). In NLS discovery
mode, PredictNLS searches a query protein for known and potential NLS's in
NLSdb to determine if a protein is likely to be targeted to the nucleus. If the
protein is determined to be nuclear, the program also reports if a known DNA
binding motif is found. In Motif detection mode, the program can help you
decide if a sequence motif is likely to act as a nuclear localization signal.
The PredictNLS website also documents the largest collection of experimentally
determined NLS's.

PredictNLS predicts if your protein is nuclear. If no NLS is found you can
predict the subcellular localization of the protein using loctree.

Bug#681108: ITP: norsnet -- NORSnet - identifies unstructured loops from sequence

2012-07-11 Thread Andreas Tille
Hi,

thanks for the ITP. Please make sure the short description would be
easy to dectect as relevant for biological research. There are a lot
of sequences out there. Some kind of

   s/from sequence/from protein sequence/

to get

Description: NORSnet - identifies unstructured loops from protein sequence

would be sufficient to enable the general user to detect this but you
might find some even better fitting description.

Kind regards

   Andreas.

Description : The Google Authenticator project

The Google Authenticator project includes implementations of one-time
passcode generators for several mobile platforms, as well as a
pluggable authentication module (PAM). One-time passcodes are
generated using open standards developed by the Initiative for Open
Authentication (OATH) (which is unrelated to OAuth).

These implementations support the HMAC-Based One-time Password (HOTP)
algorithm specified in RFC 4226 and the Time-based One-time Password
(TOTP) algorithm currently in draft.
