Michael, thanks for retitling the bug report.

Carlos, I can upload somewhere packaged 0.8.4 version if you are

Bug#658783: MATE Desktop Environment in Debian

2012-07-24 Thread Dmitry Shachnev
I agree with Josselin here. There is no point in forking gconf and other
libraries. Even worse, this will increase the incompatibility between
different desktops. For example, an app making use of gconftool-2 will
not work when there's mateconftool-2 in the system instead.

If you want to fix a bug in GNOME libraries, you should propose a patch
to their bugzilla, they will be happy to accept it.

Also, we try to remove existing packages that use deprecated libraries
(like libgnome* and libbonobo*), and I think it's not good at all to add
new packages relying on those libraries.

Package name: libohtopology
Version : 1.0.160
Upstream Author : OpenHome
URL : http://www.openhome.org/

Programming Lang: C++
Description : OpenHome Media Control Point Library

OpenHome Media is an independent standard for networked audio visual
devices. OpenHome Media products all have a standard way of presenting
themselves to the network. This makes it possible to write generic
Control Point software that is able to control those products
independent of manufacturer or specific features.

The technologies associated with making this possible are grouped under
the term OpenHome Media Topology (ohTopology)

Package name sounds too generic to me for such a narrow use-case.
May be arm-powerdebug? (I googled linaro, and it appears to be
centered about ARM SoCs so I suppose this tool is to debug such
systems, and hence is why I propose this arm- prefix.)

Yes, Linaro is concentrated on ARM but powerdebug is useful also on
other architectures like SuperH or MIPS. Or any with clocks and regulators.

I've tried to rebuild Ubuntu source+some fixes. You can have a look at,

Oh, cool. That's a bit further than I've gotten so far.

One thing I've noticed is that the package FTBFS in the current form,
i.e. I have to run debuild twice to build it. A possible way to fix
this is attached as patch.

This is where we can go ahead. We can setup collab-maint repo etc.

Setting up a repo would be good indeed. Could you do that? I would be
in favor of git as VCS, but feel free to choose something else. I
guess you will need my alioth account name. It is davrieb-guest.

Bug#682698: update

2012-07-24 Thread Daniel Pocock

SylkServer is now in pkg-voip:

  http://git.debian.org/?p=pkg-voip/sylkserver.git;a=summary

I built a 2.0.0~pre1 tarball manually for this purpose - the process is
described in README.Debian:

http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=pkg-voip/sylkserver.git;a=blob_plain;f=debian/README.Debian;hb=HEAD

squeeze only has 1.2.4 - is that sufficient?
  python-application (= 1.2.9)

Similar issue with python-wokkel: squeeze has 0.6.3-1, definitely
need python-wokkel (= 0.7.0) ?

Three dependencies are not available on squeeze:

 sylkserver depends on python-backports; however:
  Package python-backports is not installed.
 sylkserver depends on python-eventlet-0.8; however:
  Package python-eventlet-0.8 is not installed.
 sylkserver depends on python-sipsimple (= 0.20.0); however:
  Package python-sipsimple is not installed.

I found them all here:

  http://download.ag-projects.com/SipClient/

upstream has already advised that the old version of python-eventlet 0.8
must be used (squeeze has 0.9.16) - not sure about the status of the
other dependencies, to be investigated further

2012-07-24 Thread martijn cielen
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

YADIFA is a lightweight authoritative Name Server with DNSSEC capabilities.
Developed by the passionate people behind the .eu top-level
domainhttp://www.eurid.eu,
YADIFA has been built from scratch to face today’s DNS challenges, with no
compromise on security, speed and stability, to offer a better and safer
Internet experience.

YADIFA has a simple configuration syntax and can handle more queries per
second while maintaining one of the lowest memory footprints in the
industry. YADIFA also has one of the fastest zone file load times ever
recorded on a name server.

YADIFA was developed on FreeBSD and a GNU/Linux. It works on OSX and will
be soon ported to other Unix flavours like OpenBSD and Solaris. A Microsoft
Windows version is also on the cards.

YADIFA is distributed under FreeBSD 3 license. It is open source and
completely free.

YADIFA source can be downloaded from http://www.yadifa.eu/download. I have
a .dsc source.changes and source.build available.

Upstream to help merge their `python-backports' package into the Debian
source package

Upstream has forked python-eventlet 0.8, they will rename the fork and
release a tarball. Once it is ready, the next steps will be:

a) packaging the forked eventlet code

b) packaging the python-sipsimple code:

 http://sipsimpleclient.com/

c) and then it is possible for the sylkserver package to be uploaded
into the Debian archive

Hi,

I have worked on the package and pushed to collab-maint repository:
http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=collab-maint/iptraf-ng.git;a=summary

The package in collab-maint works correctly and is lintian clean, so I
intend to upload it in a few days if no objections are shown. An issue
needs to note is that HEAD has been targeted to unstable while it
hasn't been released actually.
