Bug#518230: Draft packages for nbc available

2012-12-31 Thread Petter Reinholdtsen

I was just told that Slavko provide draft packages for nbc and other
LEGO related packages at
http://debs.slavino.sk/files-stable.php > and
http://debs.slavino.sk/files-testing.php >.  The packages missing
from mentors are available there. I hope to sponsor his packages into
the archive.

Happy hacking

Bug#697054: ITP: pyro4 -- distributed object middleware for Python (RPC)

2012-12-31 Thread Laszlo Boszormenyi (GCS)
Package: wnpp
Owner: Laszlo Boszormenyi
Severity: wishlist

* Package name: pyro4
  Version : 4.17
  Upstream Author : Irmen de Jong
* URL : http://pypi.python.org/pypi/Pyro4/
* License : MIT
  Programming Lang: Python
  Description : distributed object middleware for Python (RPC)

Pyro means PYthon Remote Objects. It is a library that enables you to
build applications in which objects can talk to eachother over the
network, with minimal programming effort. You can just use normal Python
method calls, with almost every possible parameter and return value
type, and Pyro takes care of locating the right object on the right
computer to execute the method. It is designed to be very easy to use,
and to generally stay out of your way. But it also provides a set of
powerful features that enables you to build distributed applications
rapidly and effortlessly. Pyro is written in 100% pure Python and
therefore runs on many platforms and Python versions, including Python
2.x, Python 3.x, IronPython, Jython and Pypy.

Bug#697049: ITP: libsocket-msghdr-perl -- sendmsg, recvmsg and ancillary data operations

2012-12-31 Thread 李健秋
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: "Andrew Lee (李健秋)"

* Package name: libsocket-msghdr-perl
  Version : 0.04
  Upstream Author : 2003, 2010 Michael J. Pomraning
* URL : http://search.cpan.org/dist/Socket-MsgHdr/

  Programming Lang: Perl
  Description : sendmsg, recvmsg and ancillary data operations

  Socket::MsgHdr provides advanced socket messaging operations via sendmsg and
  recvmsg. Like their C counterparts, these functions accept few parameters,
  instead stuffing a lot of information into a complex structure.
  .
  This structure describes the message sent or received (buf), the peer on the
  other end of the socket (name), and ancillary or so-called control
  information (cmsghdr). This ancillary data may be used for file descriptor
  passing, IPv6 operations, and a host of implemenation-specific extensions.
