As you write, it'll be a big challenge for you. Easier and smaller
packages would suit you better IMHO.

Of course, I'll credit whatever I'll use from your work. We can work
together, no problem. Still, I advise you to check and learn other,
smaller packages as well.

My plans are basically learn packaging by doing and trying to improve

I have no problem with you to use part of my works but with respect to

Yep, I guess I forgot to mention here that I actually saw your Planet

the renewed collaboration between the original author and the one who
forked the project.

Nah, thank *you* for all your work on and related to Debian!

It's funny you should ask now, I'm updating the packaging for the latest

a sponsor...

I'll get a package up on mentors in the next day or so and let you know when

Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

Hi,

I am orphaning package ulogd, since my spare time is really limited, and the
package needs a
lot of attention to be migrated to v2+

Since there are new dependencies to a newer that current version of
libnfnetlink and
libnetfilter-conntrack3, whoever chooses to adopt this package should look into
adopting those
also, or try to coordinate with their maintainers.

There's a new dedicated website: http://libwebsockets.org

Most of the important stuff got merged in the original libwebsockets so I
would not consider packaging the fork.

Great, thank you for your contribution to Debian!

OK So we can go ahead and package this right? Terms and condition seems
ok for redistribution. Did you try asking this in debian-legal? (Do we
need to?)

I'll try to take a look at it, it looks interesting. I'm not really
sure how I missed that e-mail a month ago.

Bug#645079: Bug#: 645079: RFA: coinor-csdp -- A software package for semidefinite programming

2013-02-04 Thread Hendrik Tews
Hi,

could you provide some more information for potential adopters?

With "due to non-GPL compatible licensing" you refer to the CPL,
I suppose. Could you elaborate on why the CPL is an issue?

The last upstream release was in April 2010, the upstream bug
tracker has 5 tickets in total, the last dating from 2009. This
looks like upstream development is not really active any more.
Could you tell your opinion on the activity of the upstream
maintainer?

Bye,

Hendrik

This ITP was coined out of packaging non-free fonts like Aksharyogini
[1], but it seems we forgot.
