Bug#673322: Packaging Open Sankoré for Debian/Ubuntu
Hi, It seems that Open-Sankoré has been relicensed to GPL v3 [1]. I'll still have to carefully go through the license, but it seems that the SSL exception is in all of the headers. I'll try to create a newer version of the package (older one I have them in [2], and even older in [3]), and if it works okay for me and is stable enough I might consider finally uploading it to Debian, aftyer re-checking licenses again. They made little sense to implement whilst the mysql-5.5 package had RC bugs. And I am finding at the moment less and less time to work on mysql though one way or another I do wnat to see mysql supported in Debian. There is some activity on the #debian-mysql irc which I am currently standing back from. Hi! I am the developer and maintainer of Mundus. I would *love* to see it included in the official Debian repositories, and i really thank you for taking care of this! But for this to happen you would first need update the Gambas3 packages, as they are pretty old and not supported. Although it might build just fine as it is now, there might be unexpected behavior or bugs. This has been a long discussed issue in the Gambas community, and we researched a lot of options to get an updated set of packages. Unfortunately, it has been 8 months since the last update [0]. There are a lot of members in the community willing to contribute a bit of their time to help and get this done. Debian users of Gambas exceed others, but they are left alone by needing to compile the whole Gambas stack on each release.
