Bug#709682: ITP: python-github -- Python library for the full Github API v3
Package: wnpp Owner: Geoffrey Thomas Severity: wishlist * Package name: python-github Version : 1.15.0 Upstream Author : Vincent Jacques * URL : https://github.com/jacquev6/PyGithub * License : LGPL-3+ Programming Lang: Python Description : Python library for the full Github API v3 pygithub is a Python library to access the Github API v3 (the current version of the API). With it, you can manage your Github resources (repositories, user profiles, organizations, etc.) from Python scripts. The code is compatible with both Python 2 and 3, so I'll provide both python-github and python3-github binary packages. This is a dependency for tratihubis, a tool to migrate Trac tickets to Github issues, which I also intend to package. I'm planning for both of these to be team-maintained by the debian-python team. -- Geoffrey Thomas http://ldpreload.com geo...@ldpreload.com -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-wnpp-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Bug#709644: ITP: shaarli -- minimalist delicious clone you can install on your own website
Hello Alexandre, thank you for the notice, I did not search correctly before submitting the ITP bug about Shaarli. Emilien, I read the thread about Bug #654814. The version you packaged last year was 0.0.32 beta, I have just packaged version 0.0.41 beta. I suggest to merge the ITP bugs, and to share the maintenance of this package, do you agree? By the way, I packaged the PHP library raintpl to avoid embedding third-party software into shaarli, when the third-party piece of software can be of public interest. See ITP #709640 Best regards, Georges. Bug#654814: Shaarli in Debian
Hi Georges, I noticed you filed a new ITP bug for Shaarli. I did so myself 1.5 years ago, had a working package for version 0.0.32beta, did not find a sponsor, updated the package for 0.0.38beta, still no luck finding a sponsor... I wondered if you would want to review my work, possibly improve it, and sponsor it's upload. We could co-maintain the package, possibly using git-buildpackage and collab-maint if you're into that. I'm a Debian Maintainer, and will in the coming month apply for DD, but for now I can't upload Shaarli on my own ;) FYI I've worked with Seb Sauvage (Shaarli's main author) over the past year to have him publish a Debian-specific tarball, that makes the Debian packaging easier. You'll find this is used in the watchfile. I've attached my most recent debian folder (mind you: based on version 0.0.38beta, not the latest 0.0.41beta), if you're interested in working together on this we'll get to the point to set up a shared repository. Stuff to do with this version of the package: - Update to 0.0.41beta (I know of at least one extra folder location that we need patched) - The package triggers Lintian warnings on the version number (probably due to the word "beta" in the version) - Review the Apache config (since I wrote the package, I'm mostly running nginx, so I'm not testing the Apache config as well anymore) Let me know! I'm happy to see some interest around Shaarli in Debian. +Emilien shaarli-0.0.38beta.debian.tar.gz Description: GNU Zip compressed data

Bug#709628: ITP: libscout-clojure -- A library for clojure to parse strings
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: "Eugenio Cano-Manuel Mendoza" * Package name: libscout-clojure Version : 0.1.0 Upstream Author : David Santiago * URL : https://github.com/davidsantiago/scout * License : EPL-1.0 Programming Lang: Clojure, Java Description : A library for clojure to parse strings Scout can be used to process text without having to fully parse it, either because the text format made that difficult, or it would have been overkill for that particular task. For example, it is used for parsing the mustache templates in the Stencil library. The key object in Scout is a Scanner object, which is an immutable object associated with the string it is scanning and a position within that string. There are two ways to make a Scanner: either create a new one using the scanner function, or use a Scout function to create a new Scanner as the result of a search from a previous Scanner. If a Scanner is created as the result of a successful search, it will contain a third piece of data, an object with information about the parts of the string it matched and any regular expression groups that were assigned as part of the match. Since Scanners are immutable, you can easily start any number of searches from a given Scanner and refer back to Scanner objects from earlier in the parsing process. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-wnpp-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Bug#707093: reproducing the build and the upload process of libhtmlcleaner-java
Hi, > In general the issue appears to be that there's no orig.tar.gz file and > not documentation about how to create one. Alexandre, on May 10th you > posted to the bug report that you uploaded the packages (presumably one > of which was libhtmlcleaner-java) to mentors.debian.net, but I'm not > able to find them. That source package would have included an > .orig.tar.gz file. http://mentors.debian.net/package/libhtmlcleaner-java http://mentors.debian.net/package/davmail > 2) Completely erase the existing pkg-java/libhtmlcleaner-java.git repo > so we can start over fresh. I had begun work on packaging the latest upstream version, but got stuck because of : - messy source tarball which is now fixed thanks to collaboration with upstream - switch to maven as build system, which needs a bit of learning on my side. I'll be working on this, but the version on mentors.debian.org seems pretty acceptable to me for review. Regarding the git repo issue, I can branch of the debian/2.2-1_pre+1 tag in order to take into account packaging review comments, while working on getting 2.5 in shape. Or I can start over for master to be exactly what has been uploaded at mentors.d.n and keep my work on 2.5 private. Please advice.
