You're very welcome. I've added both of you as administrators. I've
also given add DDs commit access; they certainly won't abuse it; I doubt
they'll use it at all. ;-)

I haven't set up anything in the repository yet. Feel free to start it.
We will certainly need a directory for each package; should we separate
them subdirectories by type (interface, slicer, firmware, other)?

It's probably a good idea to start a mailinglist there and continue this
discussion on it.

Thanks,
Bas

What's the point in patching it out, if it's disabled by default?

It seems to me that getting #653112 fixed, which presumably involves
changing a True to a False somewhere in the code, should be easier than
maintaining an entire separate package going forward.

Don't worry, I'm doing it for you (by sending commands to
control@bugs.d.o. For more information, take a look at:

RPS is a Request For Package (you're asking for someone else to make the
package)

ITP is an Intend To Package (you're offering yourself to try to make the

Are you talking about bug #653112 (disabling the "non-intrusive ads"
"feature" by default) or are you talking about patching the complete
"non-intrusive ads" out? Feel free to join the Debian Mozilla Extension
Maintainers team and apply the patch in case of the former. The patch
would be too huge in case of the latter. I scanned a diff between
adblock-plus and adblockedge. Part of the diff was ripping
"non-intrusive ads" out and the other part was for renaming the
extension. I came to the conclusion that it is simpler to maintain the
adblockegde fork.

Bug#715335: RFA: tiobench -- Threaded I/O bench for Linux

2013-07-08 Thread Peter Palfrader
Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

Tiobench is a file system benchmark especially designed to test I/O
performance with multiple running threads.

It hasn't seen a new upstream release in over a decade[2], but it mostly
seems to have worked[0]. It no longer builds with the latest toolchain
available in unstable but there's patches in the BTS[1].

If you care about the package and want to keep it, please pick it up.
Else I'll ask for removal from unstable in a month.

Cheers,
weasel
