Bug#697438: linux-user-chroot Debian packaging

 Hi,

 I wonder who is who in this packaging. Thomas didn't touch packaging

That's a bug. The intenion was to have the package under the
collab-maint umbrella. The git repository for packaging is already there
and you can just use it (every DD has write access to the collab-maint
repositories).
I already had a sponsor but after a couple of weeks he still had no time

I request an adopter for the testng package.

I am no longer using it. For technical reasons, I migrated to junit4.
There is some work to package the new upstream release.

The package description is:
 TestNG is a testing framework inspired by JUnit and NUnit but
 introducing some new functionalities that make it more powerful and
 easier to use, such as:
 .
 * JDK 5 annotations
 * Flexible test configuration
 * Support for data-driven testing
 * Support for parameters
 * Distribution of tests on slave machines
 * Powerful execution model (no more TestSuite)
 * Embeds BeanShell for further flexibility
 .
 TestNG is designed to cover all categories of tests, including unit,
 functional, end-to-end and integration tests.

László Böszörményi (GCS) wrote:

  I used the one from Emanuele, as he stated it's an updated one. Will

I took Thomas patch with the debian/ files and cherry-picked it on top
of the upstream git history for version 2012.1, and then I updated it to
2013.1.

I usually prefer having the upstream history available when upstream
uses git, it makes tracking upstream changes easier.

Of course by doing so I diverged from the repo on collab-maint, I hope
this won't be an issue, either by force-pushing the new commits to
collab-maint, or disregarding my repo and cherry-picking my changes on
top of Thomas' repo.

 I know that I've commit rights to every collab-maint repositories, but
 I ask for permission beforehand. As I see, it's not a problem for you
 that I'll do the necessary changes.

I'm not a DD nor a DM yet, so I don't have special rights. As long as
some kind soul will get linux-user-chroot uploaded to Debian, whatever
you do is fine for me. :)

OOC, what issues you found in my package? Would you mind commenting on
Github or making your changes available somewhere?

Thanks!
Emanuele.

Bug#547107: Bug#722663: libradius1 and libfreeradius-client2: error when trying to install together

   /etc/radiusclient/dictionary.compat
   /etc/radiusclient/dictionary.merit
   /etc/radiusclient/radiusclient.conf

src:radiusclient is orphaned - it is obsolete and superseded by
src:freeradius-client

The History heading here explains the situation:

http://freeradius.org/freeradius-client

I would suggest the Debian should drop the src:radiusclient package
completely and I'm opening a bug for the FTP master to remove it

The freeradius-client packages could use conflicts/replaces to ease
upgrade but that would require some testing. For now, I'm just adding
the conflicts header.

Bug#547107: RM: radiusclient -- new source package

2013-09-13 Thread Daniel Pocock
Package: ftp.debian.org

src:radiusclient is replaced by the new src:freeradius-client

Upstream explain it here:

http://freeradius.org/freeradius-client/  (see History)

The new src package is here:

http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=717324

and is now available in sid and jessie

The old package is orphaned and is unlikely to find a new maintainer

$ apt-cache rdepends libradius1
libradius1
Reverse Depends:
  radiusclient1
  libradius1-dev
  portslave

portslave is the only binary package not built from src:radiusclient and
it could potentially be adapted to build against libfreeradius-client
instead

Present a sqlite file as a python dict, allowing durable storage with a
well known interface.

The python module is used by plinth, the web interface of the
Freedombox, and would be great to have in Debian proper. :)

Initial packaging is available from

Bug#707056: getting openni2 into Debian

2013-09-13 Thread Hans-Christoph Steiner

Hey Hauke,

I'm emailing you as part of the team working on the OpenNI packages for
Debian. I'm glad to see you're work on openni2!
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=707056

In case you haven't seen it, the most up-to-date version of the 'openni'
package is here:
http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=pkg-multimedia/openni.git;a=summary

All of the other OpenNI-related packaged are part of the Debian pkg-multimedia
project, and the git repos are there:
http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?a=project_listpf=pkg-multimedias=opennibtnS=Search

It would be great if you could also work out of a git repo hosted by the
pkg-multimedia team. I can set up the repo, you just need to create an

Bug#722734: ITP: libdist-zilla-plugin-test-reportprereqs-perl -- Report on prerequisite versions during automated testing

2013-09-13 Thread Oleg Gashev
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: Oleg Gashev o...@gashev.net

* Package name: libdist-zilla-plugin-test-reportprereqs-perl
  Version : 0.006
  Upstream Author : David Golden dagol...@cpan.org
* URL :
https://metacpan.org/release/Dist-Zilla-Plugin-Test-ReportPrereqs
* License : Apache-2.0
  Programming Lang: Perl
  Description : Report on prerequisite versions during automated testing

 This Dist::Zilla plugin adds a t/00-report-prereqs.t test file. It reports
 the version of all modules listed in the distribution metadata prerequisites
 (including 'recommends', 'suggests', etc.). However, any 'develop' prereqs
 are not reported (unless they show up in another category).
 .
 If a MYMETA.json file exists and CPAN::Meta is installed on the testing
 machine, MYMETA.json will be examined for prerequisites in addition, as it
 would include any dynamic prerequisites not set in the distribution metadata.
 .
 Versions are reported based on the result of parse_version from
 ExtUtils::MakeMaker, which means prerequisite modules are not actually loaded
 (which avoids various edge cases with certain modules). Parse errors are
 reported as undef. If a module is not installed, missing is reported
 instead of a version string.

This is a Simple Authentication and Security Layer (SASL) support module

written for Erlang. The patch to ejabberd which allows it to support GSSAPI
authentication needs to be able to work with SASL autnentication, but was
written prior to Erlang release R15B. Before R15B, Erlang did not have
out-of-the-box SASL support; hence this module was created to provide it.

Those hyphens are unnecessary and could impede a package search for
task switcher etc.

Also you have NOT hyphenated task switcher in the Description, whereas
in the unnamed field (possibly called long description?) you HAVE
hyphenated it. Consistency?

I suggest to lose ALL the hyphens, UNLESS you know they are really
necessary.

 The Google API client library allows to work with Google APIs such as

I intend to maintain it under Debian PHP PEAR umbrella, and get rid of

Bug#722879: ITP: keysync - Syncs OTR identities between the different chat programs

2013-09-13 Thread Hans-Christoph Steiner

Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: Hans-Christoph Steiner h...@eds.org

* Package name: keysync
  Version : 0.1
  Upstream Author : The Guardian Project
* URL : https://guardianproject.info/apps/keysync
* License : GPLv3+
  Programming Lang: python
  Description : Syncs OTR identities between the different chat programs

 There are many chat apps that support OTR encryption for verifying messages.
 Many use multiple chat apps, including one for desktop and another for
 mobile, or one for Mac OS X and another for GNU/Linux or Windows. The trust
 relationships are only stored locally in the app in a format that is specific
 to that app. Switching between all of them means that you have to manage
 your trust relationships for each app that you use.
 .
 KeySync addresses this problem by allowing you to sync your OTR identity and
 trust relationships between multiple apps. It currently works with
 ChatSecure on Android, and Pidgin, Adium, and Jitsi on desktop. This project
 is for converting the various OTR file formats between each other.
 Currently, KeySync is focused on the two major OTR implementations: libotr
 and otr4j, but it is modular enough to allow adding support for any OTR
 implementation.
