Severity: normal

I request an adopter for the springlobby package.

I have no more time to maintaining springlobby. It would be good if a new
maintainer for spring (see spring RFA #719618 [1]) would take care of
springlobby too. Please see Marko Koschany's mail to the games team list
regarding the status of Springlobby [2].

The package description is:
 This package provides a single-player and multiplayer lobby for Spring.
 Other features include a P2P system for downloading maps and mods and
 a built-in IRC-like chat client.

The package is under maintenance by the Debian Games Team but I was the only
person who worked on this package in the past.

Bug#742639: ITP: python-expyriment -- Python library for cognitive and neuroscientific experiments

2014-03-25 Thread Yaroslav Halchenko
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: Yaroslav Halchenko

* Package name: python-expyriment
  Version : 0.7.0
  Upstream Author : Oliver Lindemann
* URL : http://www.expyriment.org
* License : GPL-3.0+
  Programming Lang: Python
  Description : Python library for cognitive and neuroscientific experiments

Expyriment is a light-weight Python library for designing and conducting
timing-critical behavioural and neuroimaging experiments. The major goal is
to provide a well-structured Python library for a script-based experiment
development with a high priority on the readability of the resulting
programme code. Due to the availability of an Android runtime environment,
Expyriment is also suitable for the development of experiments running on
tablet PCs or smart-phones.

Filing ITP on behalf of the upstream (Oliver) who is preparing the package.

I do have a start, but not fully suitable for uploading to the archive
yet (not lintian clean, copyright needs work, clean up default
configuration for a fresh install).

You can certainly grab what I have so far, I just updated to the 0.3.2 version:
  http://people.debian.org/~mtmiller/ocserv_0.3.2-1~local1.dsc

I just noticed a segfault while quickly testing this latest version,
I'll have to look into that.

It's up to you, since you have the ITP if you want feel free to take
my work and finish and upload it. But I'm certainly willing to finish
it as well if you'd rather I finish what I started :)

 The ocaml-ctypes library makes it possible to call C functions
 directly from OCaml without writing or generating C code. The core
 of the library is a set of combinators for describing C types --
 scalars, functions, structs, unions, arrays, and pointers to values
 and functions. Type descriptions can then be used to bind native

finally, httpretty is needed by python-keystoneclient (the OpenStack auth

For the record, newer version of jekyll also require ruby-pygments.rb. And
gitlab is not required for jekyll.

I guess that you meant adding gitlab stuff to python-pygments package, not
ruby-pygments.rb...

Anyway, here's the status as I understand it:
- gitlab custom lexer won't be merged in upstream ruby-pygments
- gitlab custom lexer won't be merged in upstream python-pygments
- python-pygment has some plugin mechanism (see
  /usr/share/doc/python-pygments/plugins.html)

Possible solutions:
- create a package (upstream or debian) for gitlab custom lexer. In theory
  python-pygment plugin can be used to load gitlab lexer in python-pygment.
- patch Debian's python-pygments to include gitlab custom lexer (without
  using the plugin mechanism)
- package ruby-pygment.rb without gitlab lexer

>From a technical point of view (and for our user), the first solution is
probably the best.

But I don't have the skill and the time to implement it. Unless someone steps
up, I'm going to implement the latter solution.

All the best
