I share your concerns and I think there is no such risk here. Upstream don't
do standalone module development and I had to extract module(s) sources from
kernel tree. As far as I'm aware all Ceph modules development is done in-tree.

Just in case I commited "README.source" file with note "not suitable for
stable".

I'll consider this but I hope that won't be necessary if upstream make sure
that fix is included to point release of Linux_3.14 in a timely manner.

Thank you.

Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

I have now orphaned the foomatic-filters package. For all contemporary
Printing concerns, it's been replaced with cups-filters.

Given that I don't know if non-CUPS users need it, I've opted for an
orphaning rather than a straight removal. If you are using it [0],
please consider adopting it; it only has a twentieth of bugs and should
be mostly working. :-)

The package description is:
 Foomatic is a printer database designed to make it easier to set up
 common printers for use with UNIX-like operating systems.
 It provides the "glue" between a print spooler (like CUPS or lpr) and
 the printer, by processing files sent to the printer.
 .
 This package consists of filters used by the printer spoolers
 to convert the incoming PostScript data into the printer's native
 format using a printer-specific, but spooler-independent PPD file.
 .
 For use with CUPS, you will need both the cups and cups-client
 packages installed on your system.

Cheers, OdyX

Bug#747722: ITP: libmatch-simple-xs-perl -- XS backend for match::simple

  Version : 0.001
  Upstream Author : Toby Inkster
* URL : https://metacpan.org/release/match-simple-XS
* License : Artistic or GPL-1+
  Programming Lang: Perl
  Description : XS backend for match::simple

 match::simple::XS is a faster XS-based implementation of match::simple.
 .
 Depending on what sort of matches done, it is likely to be several
 times faster. In extreme cases, such as matching a string in an
 arrayref, it can be twenty-five times faster, or more. However, where
 $that is a single regexp, it's around 30% slower.
 .
 Overall though, the performance improvement should be worthwhile.

libmatch-simple-xs-perl is recommended by recent releases of
libmatch-simple-perl.

Bug#747747: ITP: libtest-modern-perl -- precision testing for modern perl

  Upstream Author : Toby Inkster
* URL : https://metacpan.org/release/Test-Modern
* License : Artistic or GPL-1+
  Programming Lang: Perl
  Description : precision testing for modern perl

 Test::Modern provides the best features of Test::More, Test::Fatal,
 Test::Warnings, Test::API, Test::LongString, and Test::Deep, as well as
 ideas from Test::Requires, Test::DescribeMe, Test::Moose, and
 Test::CleanNamespaces.
 .
 Test::Modern also automatically imposes strict and warnings on your
 script, and loads IO::File. (Much of the same stuff Modern::Perl does.)
 .
 Although Test::Modern is a modern testing framework, it should run fine
 on pre-modern versions of Perl. It should be easy to install on Perl
 5.8.9 and above; and if you can persuade its dependencies to install
 (not necessarily easy!), should be OK on anything back to Perl 5.6.1.

This package is (indirectly) required by recent releases of
libweb-id-perl.

It will be maintained inside the pkg-perl team.

Hope this helps.

Bug#747823: ITP: confiture -- Python library to parse configuration files

2014-05-11 Thread Antoine Millet
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: Antoine Millet

* Package name: confiture
  Version : 2.0
  Upstream Author : Antoine Millet
* URL : https://github.com/NaPs/Confiture
* License : MIT
  Programming Lang: Python
  Description : Python library to parse configuration files

A Python library to parse highly structured, hierarchical, configuration
files using a developer friendly API. The configuration format lets one create
nested sections of any deep, typing (string, number, boolean or list)
and external file inclusion.

Confiture also embeds a powerful schema validation system allowing to
define composite types (like "file" or "ip address") and provides an
integration with the argparse module.

This package will be submitted to the Python Modules Packaging Team.

Bug#747547: PasDoc description

2014-05-11 Thread Michalis Kamburelis
You can remove the part "(up to Delphi 2006)" from the description (as
PasDoc actually supports many of the language features found in latest
Delphi versions, as well as FreePascal).

Also, I just updated the PasDoc project page on SourceForge (
https://sourceforge.net/projects/pasdoc/ ), adding screenshots and a
list of features. Feel free to use it for packaging of course :)

Please always CC a plain text version of the explanation for why bug
manipulation is happening to the relevant package manintainer especially
if it involves a reassignment. minizip has been in Debian for some
considerable time as zlib-bin. The bug it's merged with is for making
it a zip alternative which is something different and would rely on a
compatible command line interface (something that it doesn't have right
now).

Yes it is and wasn't anywhere in the repository at the time of filing the wish
list bug. Please close.

It looks like this is related to php 5.5.11. With php 5.5.12 which now
can be found in jessie and sid the problem is gone. I'll try to check
what's wrong with Twig and php 5.5.11. But for now this no longer should
block this package, since tests passes with the versions of php
currently found in wheezy, jessie and sid.

The doc no longer gets removed from upstream's tarball, the '+dfsg' is
removed from the Debian version and a new binary package 'php-twig-doc'
is build.

I pushed everything I've done last week to anonscm.d.o [1] and uploaded
the package again to mentors [2].

Roland, can you have an other look onto the package, especially the new
parts [3] regarding the newly added php-twig-doc package?

Thanks
Daniel
