Bug#749419: RFA: snmptt -- SNMP trap handler for use with snmptrapd

2014-05-26 Thread Christoph Berg
Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

I request an adopter for the snmptt package. The package is in a
reasonable shape, but I'm not really using it myself, so it'd better
get a new maintainer.

The package description is:
 SNMPTT (SNMP Trap Translator) is an SNMP trap handler written in Perl for use
 with the Net-SNMP / UCD-SNMP snmptrapd program (www.net-snmp.org).

Bug#749416: RFP: libhdt-it -- Library for RDF HDT file manipulation

2014-05-26 Thread Kjetil Kjernsmo
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

* Package name: libhdt-it
  Version : 1.0rc1
* URL : http://www.rdfhdt.org/
* License : LGPL
  Programming Lang: C++
  Description : Library for RDF HDT file manipulation

RDF HDT (Header, Dictionary, Triples) is a compact data structure and
binary serialization format for RDF that keeps big datasets compressed
to save space while maintaining search and browse operations.

This is achieved by organizing and representing the RDF graph in terms
of three main components: Header, Dictionary and Triples
structure. The Header includes extensible metadata required to
describe the RDF data set and its organization. The Dictionary gathers
all the terms present in the RDF graph in a manner that permits rapid
search and high levels of compression. The Triples component
represents the structure of relationships of the RDF graph in a
compressed form.

It has previously been discussed whether HDT makes sense as just
another serialization format, in which performance is a relatively
minor issue, or to use it to store RDF data and query it directly.

Recent work by Ruben Verborgh et al on http://linkeddatafragments.org/
makes a convincing case for the latter, in which case the C++
libraries would be excellent to have in Debian.

Cheers,

Kjetil

Yeah, I noticed. I also saw the git repository. I was just wondering why work on
it had stalled, and posted so that I wouldn't stumble over anyone else's toes

Hi,

I'd really like to see Slic3r packaged properly for Debian so I can ditch my
hacky ~/bin shim-scripts.

Is anyone still working on this? If so, are there any issues you're running into
that I could help with? Otherwise, I'd like to pick this package up and get it
into Debian already.

Bug#711833: Preparing new package upload

2014-05-26 Thread Alexander Alemayhu
Hei,

I fixed all the errors reported by lintian, sorry for not giving notice that I
was working on them. As far as I can see the remaining message from lintian is:

W: postr: binary-without-manpage usr/bin/postr

I have not written a manpage before so the warning is not that important to me.

I will publish the package soon, after cleaning up the changelog. I have set
PAPT as the maintainer and both of us as uploaders.

 Creating a container is a matter of instating the Pimple class.
 .
 As many other dependency injection containers, Pimple is able to manage
 two different kind of data: services and parameters.

This very small class is currently embedded in owncloud, and since
another upcoming package (Silex) is depending on it, it’s time to
maintain it on its own, under the PHP PEAR Maintainers umbrella.

This library implements the PSR-3 interface that can be used in other
libraries and applications to keep a maximum of interoperability, and
make sure another compatible logger can always be used at a later time.

I’d like to depend on this package for the upcoming owncloud 6 package.

Bug#741258: libphonenumber packaging

2014-05-26 Thread Daniel Pocock

Hi Laurent,

I use libphonenumber too (it is in Lumicall, for example)

Has anybody else responded about packaging it or did you start on it
yourself?
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=741258

I notice upstream has debian/ artifacts in the repository:
https://code.google.com/p/libphonenumber/source/browse/trunk/debian

Can anybody comment on whether this is consistent with the current
packaging standards for debian-java?

Regards,

Daniel

Bug#749340: RFA: nodebox-web -- collection of web-related Python modules

2014-05-26 Thread Serafeim Zanikolas
Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

I request an adopter for the nodebox-web package.

I packaged it several years ago because it was needed for another package, one
that is not in the Debian archive anymore. nodebox-web has low popcon and no
rdepends, so adopt it only if you (plan to) use it yourself.

I intend to request its removal from the archive if nobody steps up within a
few weeks.

The package description is:
 Nodebox Web is a collection of Python modules to get content from the web.
 One can query Yahoo! and Google for links, images, news and spelling
 suggestions, read RSS and Atom newsfeeds, retrieve articles from Wikipedia,
 collect quality images from morgueFile or Flickr, browse through HTML
 documents, clean up HTML, validate URLs, and create GIF images from math
 equations using mimeTeX.
 .
 The library uses a caching mechanism that stores things you download from the
 web, so they can be retrieved faster the next time. Many of the services also
 work asynchronously.

Bug#749339: O: cflow -- Analyze control flow in C source files

2014-05-26 Thread Serafeim Zanikolas
Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

I intend to orphan the cflow package; I don't have the time for it.

The package description is:
 GNU cflow analyzes a collection of C source files and prints a graph, charting
 control flow within the program.
 .
 GNU cflow is able to produce both direct and inverted flowgraphs for C
 sources. Optionally a cross-reference listing can be generated. Two output
 formats are implemented: POSIX and GNU (extended).
 .
 Input files can optionally be preprocessed before analyzing.

Bug#749338: ITP: tinycthread -- minimalist, portable, threading library for C

2014-05-26 Thread Klee Dienes
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: Klee Dienes

* Package name: tinycthread
  Version : 1.1+20120910.git
  Upstream Author : Marcus Geelnard
* URL : http://tinycthread.bitsnbites.eu
* License : Zlib
  Programming Lang: C
  Description : minimalist, portable, threading library for C

TinyCThread is a minimalist, portable, threading library for C,
intended to make it easy to create multi threaded C applications. The
library is closesly modeled after the C11 standard, but only a subset
is implemented at the moment.

This library is used by some variants of the Razer Hydra support. I
don't know of other libraries implementing the C11 threading API,
although I imagine that the standard compiler tools will support it
eventually.

I'm maintaining my packaging on gitorious.org
(https://www.gitorious.org/tinythread/tinycthread-debian), to match
the upstream distribution. Co-maintainers are welcome.

Description:
 keyutils - Linux Key Management Utilities
 keyutils-dbg - Linux Key Management Utilities (debug)
 libkeyutils-dev - Linux Key Management Utilities (development)
 libkeyutils1 - Linux Key Management Utilities (library)
Closes: 741336 748488
Changes:
 keyutils (1.5.9-1) unstable; urgency=low
 .
   * New upstream release. Closes: #741336
 - New man pages in section 7
 - New functions in libkeyutils1:
   + keyctl_get_persistent
   + find_key_by_type_and_desc
   * debian/control:
 - Set myself to the new Maintainer. Closes: #748488
 - Bump Standards-Version to 3.9.5 (no changes needed)
 - Add XS-Testsuite: autopkgtest
 - Add Vcs-* URLs
   * debian/rules:
 - dpkg-deb uses xz compression by default now, no need to request it
 - Explicitly set DEB_HOST_MULTIARCH
 - override_dh_auto_test: execute tests with a modified PATH and
   LD_LIBRARY_PATH so that the build result is tested instead of the
   installed versions. Furthermore, skip tests requiring root.
   * debian/source/options:
 - Remove (xz compression is the default now)
   * debian/copyright:
 - Update copyright for upstream, Luk, and myself
   * debian/libkeyutils1.symbols:
 - Add symbols file based on upstream's versioning and past Debian
   releases
   * debian/doc:
 - Include upstream's README and SUBMITTING_PATCHES
   * debian/tests/*:
 - Create an autopkgtest with executes upstream's runtime tests. Indicate
   that they require root privileges.
   * debian/patches (dropped, broken):
 - 0007-tests-keyctl
   * debian/patches (dropped, fixed/included upstream):
 - 0001-memleak-from-realloc
 - 0002-another-memleak
   * debian/patches (refreshed, DEP3-formatted):
 - 0003-cifs
 - 0004-cflags
 - 0005-hardening
 - 0006-tests-directories
   * debian/patches (added):
 - 0008-man-page-syntax-fixes
   Fix minor syntax errors in man pages, thereby resolving lintian warnings
 - 0009-Use-bash-to-execute-the-tests
   The test fixtures make heavy use of bashisms; removal should be
   discussed/coordinated with upstream first
 - 0010-enable-skipping-tests-req-root
   Allow skipping of tests that need root privileges (which we don't have at
   build time).
 - 0011-Disable-some-tests
   Some test do not properly check whether features they need are available.
   This will be fixed in the next upstream release.
 - 0012-Remove-RHEL-specific-feature-test
   The numeric test clashes with "unstable" as a release version.

Description-en: Gapless Gtk-based audio player
 Aqualung is a music player for the GNU/Linux operating system. It plays
 audio files from your filesystem and has the feature of inserting no gaps
 between adjacent tracks. It also supports high quality sample rate
 conversion between the file and the output device, when necessary.
 .
 Almost all sample-based, uncompressed formats (e.g. WAV, AIFF, AU etc.) are
 supported. Files encoded with FLAC (the Free Lossless Audio Codec), Ogg
 Vorbis, Ogg Speex, MPEG Audio (including the infamous MP3 format) and MOD
 audio formats (MOD, S3M, XM, IT, etc.), Musepack are also supported.
 .
 The program can play the music through OSS, ALSA or using the JACK Audio
 Connection Kit.

Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

I request an adopter for the python-pipeline package.

The package description is:

python-pipeline provides an easy way to construct pipelines of
iterators, with a syntax resembling Unix shell. It supplies counterparts
for some common command-line utilities: cat, cut, echo, grep, head, nl,
sort, split, tail, uniq, wc, yes.

Not really. If any of the messages seem interesting just dig in and look
closer. Would be nice to inform eachother what we are working on, to avoid
duplicate work.

Please cc the bug when contacting me, there is no reason to have our dialog
private.
