Bug#777064: RFA: surf -- Simple web browser by suckless community
Package: wnpp Severity: normal As I don't have enough time to take care of this package, I request an adopter for the surf package. The package description is: surf is a simple web browser based on WebKit/GTK+. It is able to display websites and follow links. It supports the XEmbed protocol which makes it possible to embed it in another application. Furthermore, one can point surf to another URI by setting its XProperties. -- Vasudev Kamath http://copyninja.info Connect on ~friendica: copyni...@samsargika.copyninja.info IRC nick: copyninja | vasudev {irc.oftc.net | irc.freenode.net} GPG Key: C517 C25D E408 759D 98A4 C96B 6C8F 74AE 8770 0B7E signature.asc Description: Digital signature
Bug#777069: RFP: line-profiler -- Line-by-line profiling for Python
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist * Package name: line-profiler Version : 1.0 Upstream Author : Robert Kern * URL : https://pypi.python.org/pypi/line_profiler/ * License : Python Programming Lang: Python Description : Line-by-line profiling for Python line_profiler is a simple module for doing line-by-line profiling of desired Python functions. It also provides a magic command for ipython, %lprun, which is really handy to profile code on the fly. I quickly packaged line_profiler and I am using it succesfully. I don't think I will (try to) adopt it, but here is my git repo anybody can use/start from: http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=collab-maint/line-profiler.git git clone git://anonscm.debian.org/collab-maint/line-profiler.git The package for Python 3 also provides the executable kernprof, which should simplify the operation of profiling a Python script. I haven't tested it yet. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-wnpp-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Bug#771012: marked as done (ITP: proj-rdnap -- RDNAP grid correction files for PROJ.4)

A ‘simplified’ procedure has been devolped which uses a NTv2-grid for the transformation between ETRS89 and RD as well as a VDatum-grid for the transformation between ETRS89 and NAP. This ‘simplified’ procedure has the following limitations: 1) The rdtrans2008 NTv2-grid can only give identical results to RDNAPTRANS™2008 within 1 millimeter at ground level onshore and at mean seal level offshore. The horizontal deviation is approximately 1 millimeter per 50 meter height difference from ground level or mean sea level. 2) An exception to 1) is the border of the RDNAPTRANS™2008 correction grid. Transformation results within cells of the rdtrans2008 NTv2-grid that are intersected by the border of the RDNAPTRANS™2008 correction grid can result in deviations of up to 20 centimeter. 3) The naptrans2008 VDatum-grid cannot be used to determine deflections of the vertical. For this the NLGEO2004 geoid model has to be used. 4) The naptrans2008 VDatum-grid is referenced to the Bessel-1841 ellipsoid and cannot be used stand-alone, it has to be used in combination with the rdtrans2008 NTv2-grid. Taking into account the limitations listed above, the rdtrans2008 NTv2-grid and naptrans2008 VDatum-grid can be used as an alternative to RDNAPTRANS™2008 to transform geographic ETRS89-coordinates to projected RD-coordinates with grid correction applied and NAP-heights. The figure in appendix 1 shows the precise and official RDNAPTRANS™2008 flow-chart on the left and on the right the flow-chart for the ‘simplified’ procedure. Note that, although the resulting RD/NAP and ETRS89 coordinates from the transformation will be correct, geographic Bessel-1841 coordinates will differ in both procedures and should only be considered as an intermediate result. The package will be maintained within the Debian GIS team. ---End Message--- ---BeginMessage--- Source: proj-rdnap Source-Version: 2008-1 We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of proj-rdnap, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive. Prometheus is a systems and service monitoring system. It collects metrics from configured targets at given intervals, evaluates rule expressions, displays the results, and can trigger alerts if some condition is observed to be true. Prometheus' main distinguishing features as compared to other monitoring systems are: * A multi-dimensional data model (timeseries defined by metric name and set of key/value dimensions). * A flexible query language to leverage this dimensionality. * No dependency on distributed storage; single server nodes are autonomous. * Timeseries collection happens via a pull model over HTTP. * Pushing timeseries is supported via an intermediary gateway. * Targets are discovered via service discovery or static configuration. * Multiple modes of graphing and dashboarding support. * Federation support coming soon. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-wnpp-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#777000: ITP: limereg -- Lightweight Image Registration. Commandline application for image registration (automatically aligning two images with similar content).
Hi Roelof! I'm excited you want to work on this. On Tuesday, February 3, 2015, Roelof Berg rb...@berg-solutions.de wrote: I developed this application as part of a scientific project. It offers 2D, grayscale, rigid image registration with a powerful derivative based approach and operates very fast and memory efficient (compared to traditional derivative-based aproaches). OpenCV is used to load and store the image data. The user can either output the registered image (image aligned/shifted/rotated upon another one) or it can output the numeric registration result (x-shift, y-shift and rotation). Awesome. I want to develop this application further and want to maintain the .deb package. Furthermore I will publish the functionality as a library in an additional lib.deb and lib- dev.deb package. When the lib.deb package has been released I want to add it to imagemagik. This would enable people to register images just by using imagemagik :) That'd be splendid. I'm not aware of any other package offering image registration (if at all) in this speed and quality. Our mathematical aproach (regarding speed and memory usage) is very new and it is extremely unlikely that any other package can offer it. We just published it in a scientific magazine. Preprint: http://www.embedded-software- architecture.com/Berg2014Highly_Preprint.pdf Applications: HDR-Photograpy, Industrial Imaging (compare an actual photography to a reference picture), Medical Imaging (align images from different times or sensors), motion detection/compensation, and many more ... I will put as much effort in the packaging as necessary. As I'm an experienced software developer (e.g. Embedded Linux) my skills will be sufficient. The effort is low as it is only a small command line tool (yet ;) and I can do it alone. However, I'm new to Open Source and to the packaging. Do I need a sponsor to get the package accepted ? Also a review from an experienced packager would be required as this is my first step into Open Source contribution. As always, in Debian, if you're not a Developer in Debian yet, you'll need a sponsor to get the package accepted. In many things, and in Debian packaging too, I recommend trying to get something working first, then good, then great. My bandwidth for mentorship on this might not be huge, but I hope you can find a sponsor and a reviewer. If you have trouble, send me an email. Happy hacking! Asheesh, aka paulproteus at debian.org.
