It makes possible to write asyncio code in a project currently written for eventlet. . aioeventlet allows to use greenthreads in asyncio coroutines, and to use asyncio coroutines, tasks and futures in greenthreads: see link_future() and wrap_greenthread() functions. . The main visible difference between aioeventlet and trollius is the behaviour of run_forever(): run_forever() blocks with trollius, whereas it runs in a greenthread with aioeventlet. Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: Adam Borowski * Package name: git-restore-mtime Version : git only; asking upstream Upstream Author : Rodrigo Silva (MestreLion) * URL : https://github.com/MestreLion/git-tools * License : GPL3+ Programming Lang: Python Description : set timestamps to the date of a file's last commit This utility can set timestamps in a git checkout to the last commit that changes a given file. This is useful whenever meaningful mtimes are wanted, as "last change" is better than "last checkout". Use cases include syncing timestamps on a web server's contents, preparing a release tarball, etc. Pretty much, every scenario other than an unclean source tree where you're about to type "make" without "make clean". . When called from a post-checkout trigger, this is the equivalent of Subversion's "use-commit-times". . Bug#717532: (no subject)
Hi All, ODB 2.4.0 was released a few days ago[1]. I also see[2] that libcutl, which was holding up packaging of ODB 2.3.0, is already in testing, though for 2.4.0 it will need to be updated to 1.9.0. Any chance we can finally get this done? I am, as a long-time Debian user myself, really sad to see Debian lagging behind Fedora/RHEL which had ODB packaged for more than a year now. If I can help in any way, please let me know. I'm wondering if adding a probably trivial 2-lines patch to this nagios plugin in order to make it use File::Temp (in perl core) instead of File::MkTemp (last release: 2000) would be a better way forward? Bug#778560: ITP: python-kmip -- Key Management Interoperability Protocol
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: Thomas Goirand * Package name: python-kmip Version : 0.2.0 Upstream Author : Peter Hamilton * URL : https://github.com/OpenKMIP/PyKMIP * License : Apache-2.0 Programming Lang: Python Description : Key Management Interoperability Protocol PyKMIP is a Python implementation of the Key Management Interoperability Protocol (KMIP) specification, supporting version 1.1 of the KMIP standard. The KMIP standard is governed by the Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards (OASIS) and specifies a client/server-based protocol to perform key, certificate, and secret object management, including storage and maintenance operations. . The PyKMIP library currently provides a KMIP client and server supporting the following operations for the KMIP SymmetricKey managed object: * Create * Register * Get * Destroy . Note that KMIP specifies profiles that tailor the standard to specific use cases. The KMIP Profile Support section includes several profiles that need to be developed for PyKMIP to fully support symmetric key storage and generation capabilities. A list of operations necessary for these profiles is included. . The PyKMIP software-based KMIP server is intended for use only in testing and demonstration environments. Note that the PyKMIP server is NOT intended to be a substitute for secured, hardware-based KMIP appliances. The PyKMIP client should be used for operational purposes only with a hardware-based KMIP server. The development of the PyKMIP client and server should take place in parallel to facilitate testing of each operation as it is developed. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-wnpp-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Bug#738897: Looking to adopt
I believe I found a sponsor and this package looks to be one that fits my skill-sets and interests Is this package still actually orphaned? I see some regular updates have taken place on the tracker site... Sorry do not wish to jump the gun or anything - please let me know, thanks! *Richard B. Winters*
Bug#738897: Update
After looking through I see that 2.0 is released and actively maintained. Unless there is some reason to keep this package maintained I suppose I should retract my claim of interest. Sorry, looking for a package to adopt - or somewhere I can be helpful is quite an involved process it seems - so I've been jumping on things that seem promising - I apologize if I was too hasty. *Rik*
Bug#607543: Interested
Is this package still in need of a maintainer? I believe I have a sponsor and I am looking for a way to get my foot in the door to progress in Debian development/contribution. RapidSVN interests me and I have other interests with Node.js with regards to creating a web front end alternative to apache webdav. I would explore the RapidSVN API but it doesn't necessarily mean I will use it for said idea. My purpose for inquiry is that I'm interested in getting started in contributing to Debian. Please advise - *Rik*
Bug#778578: ITP: rsem -- RNA-Seq by Expectation-Maximization
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: Debian Med team X-Debbugs-Cc: debian-de...@lists.debian.org, debian-...@lists.debian.org * Package name: rsem Version : 1.2.19 Upstream Author : Bo Li * URL : http://deweylab.biostat.wisc.edu/rsem/ * License : GPL-3 Programming Lang: C++, Perl Description : RNA-Seq by Expectation-Maximization RSEM is a software package for estimating gene and isoform expression levels from RNA-Seq data. The RSEM package provides an user-friendly interface, supports threads for parallel computation of the EM algorithm, single-end and paired-end read data, quality scores, variable-length reads and RSPD estimation. In addition, it provides posterior mean and 95% credibility interval estimates for expression levels. For visualization, It can generate BAM and Wiggle files in both transcript-coordinate and genomic-coordinate. Genomic-coordinate files can be visualized by both UCSC Genome browser and Broad Institute’s Integrative Genomics Viewer (IGV). Transcript-coordinate files can be visualized by IGV. RSEM also has its own scripts to generate transcript read depth plots in pdf format. The unique feature of RSEM is, the read depth plots can be stacked, with read depth contributed to unique reads shown in black and contributed to multi-reads shown in red. In addition, models learned from data can also be visualized. Last but not least, RSEM contains a simulator. RSEM is a popular bioinformatics program and a dependency of trinityrnaseq. It will be maintained by the Debian Med team.
Bug#674875: Still orphaned?
Is this package still orphaned? It seems to have a maintainer different than specified in this post now -> with updates as recent as july of last year. Just thought I'd ping it, I'm interested in maintaining through a sponsor if its in need of a maintainer - sorry if I'm jumping the gun, this package is listed in orphaned packages. *Rik*

Bug#778589: ITP: express -- Streaming quantification for high-throughput sequencing
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: Debian Med team X-Debbugs-Cc: debian-de...@lists.debian.org, debian-...@lists.debian.org * Package name: express Version : 1.5.1 Upstream Author : Adam Roberts & Lior Pachter * URL : http://bio.math.berkeley.edu/eXpress/index.html * License : Artistic-2.0 Programming Lang: C++ Description : Streaming quantification for high-throughput sequencing eXpress is a streaming tool for quantifying the abundances of a set of target sequences from sampled subsequences. Example applications include transcript-level RNA-Seq quantification, allele-specific/haplotype expression analysis (from RNA-Seq), transcription factor binding quantification in ChIP-Seq, and analysis of metagenomic data. It is based on an online-EM algorithm that results in space (memory) requirements proportional to the total size of the target sequences and time requirements that are proportional to the number of sampled fragments. Thus, in applications such as RNA-Seq, eXpress can accurately quantify much larger samples than other currently available tools greatly reducing computing infrastructure requirements. eXpress can be used to build lightweight high-throughput sequencing processing pipelines when coupled with a streaming aligner (such as Bowtie), as output can be piped directly into eXpress, effectively eliminating the need to store read alignments in memory or on disk. . In an analysis of the performance of eXpress for RNA-Seq data, we have observed that this efficiency does not come at a cost of accuracy. eXpress is more accurate than other available tools, even when limited to smaller datasets that do not require such efficiency. Moreover, like the Cufflinks program, eXpress can be used to estimate transcript abundances in multi-isoform genes. eXpress is also able to resolve multi-mappings of reads across gene families, and does not require a reference genome so that it can be used in conjunction with de novo assemblers such as Trinity, Oases, or Trans-ABySS. The underlying model is based on previously described probabilistic models developed for RNA-Seq but is applicable to other settings where target sequences are sampled, and includes parameters for fragment length distributions, errors in reads, and sequence-specific fragment bias. . eXpress can be used to resolve ambiguous mappings in other high-throughput sequencing based applications. The only required inputs to eXpress are a set of target sequences and a set of sequenced fragments multiply-aligned to them. While these target sequences will often be gene isoforms, they need not be. Haplotypes can be used as the reference for allele-specific expression analysis, binding regions for ChIP-Seq, or target genomes in metagenomics experiments. eXpress is useful in any analysis where reads multi-map to sequences that differ in abundance. Express is a dependency of trinityrnaseq. The Debian Med team will be group maintaining it.

Bug#743303: Can help
Hello, I thought I had already replied to this bug - I apologize if I emailed someone directly on accident. II use pulseaudio and infact use the bluetooth module all the time. I'm interested to help out and gain a foot-hold into Debian development - I'm a c++ developer of over 10 years (I'll admit I'm replying as I'm heading to the source to see if its even my language) - but can generally write anything. Ah, as its C I shouldn't have any problem. Are you still seeking help? I have registered on Alioth previou/sly and will request to join the team If you need the help, and add me: Where should I begin (aside from reading all documentation in the vcs as well as upstream)? Best, *Richard B. Winters*
