Hi,

I've finally managed to get some time to work again on this ITP.

I've uploaded the sbsigntool package to NEW (See #702254), which is
required to build efitools. If/when sbsigntool is accepted, upload for
efitools will follow.

Hi,

cyrus-sasl2 needs you! The most (all) of the members of packaging
team are dormant, and the cyrus-sasl2 feels neglected, we need a new
blood who will love and care about cyrus-sasl2.

There are not much upstream releases in past and the package is also
in semi-good shape, so it's mostly about looking at the user reported
bugs, reporting the upstream bugs to upstream bugzilla, and pulling
the patches back. The usual drill... If you apply remember that this
is the SASL package that's the core of many authentication protocols,
so you should be sure about every change to the package you do.

The package if me or other will work in int must noteh that oq or oqp ç
operates in the id1 directory and for normal engines except darkplaces
may conflicts with non-free data from registered version i mean
i cannot make work any of the openquartz or openquartz-plus in
quakespasm, tyr-quake or sdlquake with both gpl and non-free data installed
the darkplaces work due has mechanis to make it (special parse option)

yes, of course, the original openquartz project has a directory with
all necesary tools
also the tyr-quake project also has in separate tools

Bug#795933: kstars-data-extra-tycho2: should be moved to free

2015-09-23 Thread Ole Streicher

Package: kstars-data-extra-tycho2
Severity: wishlist
Version: 1.1r1-9
X-Debbugs-Cc: 795...@bugs.debian.org

This is basically a reversal request for #681654 [1].
For the use of the Tycho-2 catalog [2] with the "astrometry.net" program
(currently in NEW) [3], I contacted the author of the catalog, and after
some iterations, I got the confirmation that the catalog may be
distributed under a BSD-2-Clause license -- see the attached E-Mail.

Since this makes the Tycho-2 catalog DFSG-free, I would propose to move
it back to Debian/main.

If you can provide me with the rule how to create the kstars catalog
from the original one, I would also happily create the
kstars-data-extra-tycho2 binary package within my package.

Best regards

Ole

Dear Erik,

in August we had a short discussion about the copyright of the Tycho-2
catalogue, but didn't come to an conclusion.

A good example for the copyright clause here would be the one that is
used in the Berkeley Software Distribution:

The modification is important, since it includes f.e. conversion to
other formats, combination with other catalogues, corrections and so on.

Or should I discuss this with someone else? Whom would you recommend?

Best regards

I would recommend using a different base directory for Quake, OpenQuartz
and/or oqplus (the -basedir command-line argument), similar to the way
Nexuiz Classic works in Debian. That avoids any possibility of one game
seeing the other game's assets.

So someone with the complete set would have something like

/usr/share/games/quake/id1/*.pak# proprietary Quake
/usr/share/games/openquartz/id1/*.pak # OpenQuartz
/usr/share/games/oqplus/id1/*.pak # oqplus
/usr/share/games/nexuiz/data/*.pak # Nexuiz Classic
/usr/share/games/xonotic/*/*.pak# Xonotic

and a wrapper script for each game that runs the engine with an
appropriate -basedir argument.

Bug#799903: ITP: golang-bitbucket-pkg-inflect -- Go library to transform words from singular to plural

2015-09-23 Thread Anthony Fok
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: Anthony Fok

* Package name: golang-bitbucket-pkg-inflect
  Version : 0.0~hg20130829.20.8961c37-1
Upstream Author : Chris Farmiloe, David Heinemeier Hansson
* URL : https://bitbucket.org/pkg/inflect
* License : Expat
  Programming Lang: Go
Description : Go library to transform words from singular to plural

The Go library "bitbucket.org/pkg/inflect" transforms words from singular to
plural, class names to table names, modularized class names to ones without,
and class names to foreign keys. The default inflections for pluralization,
singularization, and uncountable words are kept in inflect.go.
 .
Originall ported from the ActiveSupport::Inflector module from
 Ruby on Rails.

Reason for packaging: Needed by Go applications such as
Hugo the static website generator, http://gohugo.io/

To be maintained within the pkg-go-maintainers team.

Bug#693230: MultiMail packaging update

2015-09-23 Thread Robert James Clay
All,

Could not get the package to build with MultiMail v0.49, even when attempting
to use updated patches. So instead have created snapshots of the current v0.50
code from the authors git repository to work with, the most recent being the
one from yesterday, 22 September 2015. Note that the authors git repository is
at the SourceForge project [1], and which is also mirrored at GitHub [2].

Note also that with the current upstream code and an patched upstream Makefile,
the 'hardening' related Lintian issues are no longer present. And although
I'm considering moving the main packaging repository to Alioth, it is
currently at:

https://github.com/ftnapps/pkg-multimail

So what is left is any further QA work that may be needed, and to see if the
recent work that the author has completed might lead to a version v0.50
release in the near future.
