Hi Sascha, in principle I would like to sponsor. The only thing I do not like is the fact that two packaging repositories are hanging around in git.debian.org. This might be confusing for potentially interested persons. Please either do 1. merge your repository into collab-maint/jquery-datatables.git 2. if you have no access to collab-maint yet feel free to move your repository into Debian Med Git *and* ask Matthias for either removing his repository or cleaning it up from files and just drop a README.status file pointing to the actively maintained one 3. ask Matthias for either removing his repository or cleaning it up from files and just drop a README.status file pointing to the actively maintained one and stay with your private repository I'd prefer 1. and 2. Bug#697821: ITP: ppsspp -- ppsspp: A portable PSP emulator.
Hi, How did you manage to build the package on your machine? And is there no way to use an older version of libpng? I don't understand why the PPSSPP developers thought it would be a good idea to build against libpng16 when libpng12 is still the default version. Adrian All distro moved or are moving to libpng16, only debian is in the 1.2.x for ages. I fixed it in the dirty way: I installed manually the headers and pkgconfig of 1.6 in the system :) There's no way to use 1.2, upstream is using new features of 1.6, I tried once. --- Sergio Benjamim

Hi, >Haha, that's a good one. You haven't been around here long enough, no? well, I am, but I was giving a fact, not saying I would sponsor such hack, just mentioning that $somebody else is already doing that on debian. (if you look to my -mentors sponsoring activities you can see I don't even like shipping a static library, so I really care about security). Look e.g. https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=650601#354 personally I would like to see the transition start, but with the libstdc++5 ongoing one I don't think -release will ever give an ack for it (modulo somebody working on it) >No, it isn't. Could you please stop giving me hints which assume I'm >an idiot? I have been doing packaging for a while now. I was trying to give my help, not to make you feel an idiot. sorry if I didn't make my intentions clear. Of course the package is now in a no-go state :( cheers, G.

The fact that someone managed to sneak their packages with an embedded library into the archive doesn't make it any better. You should talk to the FTP team with a beer over this. They'll tell you how much they have to reject just because people's packaging is sometimes really horrible despite the fact that DDs should know better! > personally I would like to see the transition start, but with the libstdc++5 > ongoing one > I don't think -release will ever give an ack for it > (modulo somebody working on it) We already have several huge transitions going on. I am maintainer and co-maintainer for m68k, sh4, sparc, sparc64 and x32 and I am happy about any transition which is currently not going on yet as transitions cost a lot of pain for us. > Of course the package is now in a no-go state :( Yes, that's my whole point. We can upload it like that. As simple as that. A random emulator is not important enough that I start a fight with the security or release team. Adrian -- .''`. I actually did also push them to the maintain-0.9.23 branch of git://anonscm.debian.org/pmount/pmount.git But maybe it would be best if people test it a bit before making an "upstream" release...

> https://pmount.alioth.debian.org/ seems more suitable than > https://alioth.debian.org/projects/pmount/ to me for the Homepage > header. The reason I changed it is that, the former refers to git://git.debian.org which you're not supposed to do anymore, and also has the image https://alioth.debian.org/themes/gforge/images/logo.png on the upper left hang corner which is not found so renders with a broken image. Sound I change it back?

Bug#788076: #788076: Packaged version of gtk3-nocsd (v2)
Hi Axel, There were some bugs in version 1 of gtk3-nocsd I release earlier, so I've now released version 2 upstream and also packaged that for Debian. I've uploaded the new version to mentors.debian.net: https://mentors.debian.net/package/gtk3-nocsd The library works with every Gtk+ version I could test it with, and CSDs are consistently disabled. The functionality is enabled by default on every X11 session that's not GNOME, but both the administrator and each individual user may change this to their liking. This is documented in README.Debian. I've followed your guidelines for packages you sponsor, https://people.debian.org/~abe/sponsoring/ as close as possible: - lintian: * 0 errors * 3 warnings, overridden for good reason Actually, there's only one thing, but it causes 3 warnings. See the override file for a rationale. * 0 informational messages * 1 pedantic message: no GPG signatures on upstream tarballs * the lintian error on mentors is due to the ldconfig trigger change - lintian in unstable doesn't give that error - adequate: no messages - blhc: no messages - Build system: dh(7), minimal debian/rules - debian/copyright: DEP-5 - proper symbols file for library (although it's a bit useless, because nothing is ever going to directly link against it, but policy dictates it) - library is properly Multi-Arch (thus 2 packages, one arch all for the wrapper script + Xsession.d integration, the other arch any for the library itself) It would be great if you could review this and sponsor the upload. Also, citing my previous mail: On 10/02/2015 02:48 PM, Christian Seiler wrote: > I'd like to also use git for packaging and collab-maint on alioth, but > I can't create anything there myself (neither DD nor DM, although I > plan to apply for DM status). Bug#801837: ITP: yank -- interactively select and yank terminal output to stdout or xsel
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: Sebastien Delafond* Package name: yank Version : 0.4.0 Upstream Author : Anton Lindqvist * URL : https://github.com/mptre/yank * License : MIT Programming Lang: C Description : interactively select and yank terminal output to stdout or xsel Read input from stdin and draw a selection interface where all fields in the given input are recognized by using a default or user-supplied set of delimiters. . It consists in: * a Gradle plugin resolving the dependencies against the system Maven repository (/usr/share/maven-repo). The resolver uses the same Maven rule files that maven-debian-helper and maven-repo-helper employ (debian/maven.rules, debian/maven.ignoreRules). * a debhelper class detecting Gradle build files, initializing the plugin and running Gradle in offline mode. --- End Message --- --- Begin Message --- Source: gradle-debian-helper Source-Version: 1.0 We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of gradle-debian-helper, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive.
