Hi Tiago and Konstantin

You are both correct, yes. Sorry, and thanks for correcting this (though it's
correct in d/control and d/copyright).

Bug#749416: RFP: libhdt-it -- Library for RDF HDT file manipulation

2015-12-01 Thread Kjetil Kjernsmo
Hi all!

Just an update on this. Development has moved to github:
 https://github.com/rdfhdt/hdt-cpp
It is the hdt-lib part of that code that is most interesting to get
packaged, but as of now it relies on a patched version of another library,
but I have opened an issue upstream to deal with that. There are more
developers around it now too.

Anyway, it would still be really nice to get this into Debian!

Cheers,

Kjetil

Bug#806828: ITP: dawg -- program to simulate the evolution of recombinant DNA sequences

2015-12-01 Thread Kevin Murray
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: Kevin Murray

* Package name: dawg
  Version : 1.2.0
  Upstream Author : Reed A. Cartwright
* URL : http://scit.us/projects/dawg
* License : GPL-2
  Programming Lang: C++
  Description : program to simulate the evolution of recombinant DNA
sequences

DNA Assembly with Gaps (Dawg) is an application designed to simulate the
evolution of recombinant DNA sequences in continuous time based on the robust
general time reversible model with gamma and invariant rate heterogeneity and
a novel length-dependent model of gap formation. The application accepts
phylogenies in Newick format and can return the sequence of any node,
allowing for the exact evolutionary history to be recorded at the discretion
of users. Dawg records the gap history of every lineage to produce the true
alignment in the output. Many options are available to allow users to
customize their simulations and results.

Mathieu Parent is also interested in the package. I looked at the package
to try to help him and it has a bunch of dependencies that need to
be packaged first. I have seen no further ITP on such dependencies
from ChangZhuo Chen so far.

Thus I'm also interested in a status update about the work you did so far.

Hi,

The only thing I do so far is creating the repository in anonscm [0].
Help is welcome.

I did not create a debian directory yet since upstream also has debian
directory, and I am not sure how to handle this case. Anyone has idea
about this case?

Usually I use the "--filter=debian/*" option with "gbp import-orig" to
avoid importing the upstream debian directory. The "3.0 quilt" source
package already does the right thing by replacing the debian directory
with the one provided by the source package.

You just need to ensure the same in the git repository with this option
(you can put it in debian/gbp.conf to ensure you always use it with this
package).

Bug#762970: ITP: pyngus -- A connection oriented messaging framework using QPID Proton

2015-12-01 Thread Thomas Goirand
Hi Darryl,

Your ITP for pyngus has been open for more than a year. Will you work on
it, or can I take over the ITP? I need this package for the next version
of OpenStack.

With no news from this ITP, I'll do the work and upload the package.
However, if you feel like you want to work on it, I don't mind, and I
will gladly give you back this package (and even help co-maintaining it
if you like, and sponsor the upload of this package if you need that...).

Cheers,

Thomas Goirand (zigo)

I've submitted a PR to move it out:
https://github.com/mozilla-services/heka/pull/1802

Raphael's idea works too, but if upstream cooperates, it'll ease our
case (and they cooperated very nicely for my previous patches).
