Bug#798218: pbseqlib_0~20151014+gitbe5d1bf-1_amd64.changes is NEW

2015-12-08 Thread Afif Elghraoui
Hi, ftp-masters,
I was wondering if it's possible to have some expedited processing for
this package, pbseqlib. The sources for this are already included in the
current blasr package, but I packaged it separately here since it turns
out this specialized library is used by one other package (which is in
turn blocking still another package). I'm waiting for this one to be
accepted before I can move on with that work.

Many thanks and regards
Afif

Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: Ron

  Package name: bit-babbler
  Version : 0.3
  Upstream Author : Ron Lee
  URL : http://www.bitbabbler.org
  License : GPL-2
Programming Lang: C++, with some Perl for munin and example scripts
Description : BitBabbler hardware TRNG and kernel entropy source support

This package provides supporting software for the BitBabbler true random
 number generator hardware. It includes:

  - The seedd daemon for running continuous quality and health checks on
the active devices and the stream of entropy that they provide, and
for seeding the OS kernel entropy pool on demand.
  - Monitoring tools for short and long term analysis, and alerting of
anomalies in both the BitBabbler output and the kernel /dev/random
and /dev/urandom output.
  - Admin tools for real-time inspection of the short and long term
quality metrics.

You will need to install libjson-xs-perl if you wish to use the munin-node
script for continuous graphing and monitoring of device performance.

We've got nearly a year of intensive testing of these devices under our
belt now, and a large number of them already out in the wild with other
users, including researchers, and so far nothing we or anyone else has
thrown at them has seemed to be able to shake out a weakness that we
still need to give more immediate attention to. The software interface
is stable and we've run out of immediate wishlist things that people
want added to it too. So it seems like a good time now to actually get
it into the distro so people don't need to keep building their own
packages of it locally.

(For those who've kept nudging us to do that sooner, thanks for your
patience while we made sure everything we could Was Right first! ;)

  Enjoy,
  Ron

Yes, that its!

> So please: one alephone source package that builds one alephone binary package
> that includes three .desktop files (for a starter, the extra levels can be
> added later)
> and the launcher if needed.
alephone source and the resulting alephone package now has those:
* /usr/games/alephone (engine itselft)
* /usr/share/games/alephone/alephone-laucher (bash script to suymlink
on each scenario package)
and its respective manpages
BUT:
> GDP will not provide things like the one provided by src:quake, as there's
> no way to update these after the local GDP package has been manually built.
if that its, so source engine will also made 3 packges
(marathon/1/2/3) that ship those files and depends of the packages
provides by GDP?

this mean the alephone source must produce :
* marathon
* marathon2
* marathon3
these packages will handle desktop files, desktop icons, root debian
menu entries and laucher symlink

and as seem you point, will depends of the data packages produced by GDP right?

please confirme for made the proper changes and send to you the dsc
files with all need!

Upstream Author: Nikos Mavrogiannopoulos

Description: OpenConnect VPN Server

OpenConnect server (ocserv) is an SSL VPN server. Its purpose is to be a secure,
small, fast and configurable VPN server. It implements the OpenConnect SSL VPN
protocol, and has also (currently experimental) compatibility with clients using
the AnyConnect SSL VPN protocol. The OpenConnect VPN protocol uses the standard
IETF security protocols such as TLS 1.2, and Datagram TLS to provide the secure
VPN service. The server is implemented primarily for the GNU/Linux platform but
its code is designed to be portable to other UNIX variants as well.

Ocserv's main feature is isolation of the VPN users from the main VPN server
process. Each authenticated user is assigned an unprivileged worker process, and
a networking (tun) device. That not only eases the control of the resources of
each user or group of users, but also prevents privilege escalation due to any
bug on the VPN handling (worker) server. Each VPN user can be authenticated
using password, PAM, public key (in a smart card or not) or any combination of
methods.

Thanks and Regards,

No matter how unprotected your computer or internet connection might be,
your coins always stay safe with TREZOR as it never exposes your private keys.
TREZOR is an isolated environment for offline transaction signing and using
a small display you can visually verify the transaction contents. That's why
all operations using TREZOR are entirely safe.

Description : genome-wide assessment of mutations associated with drug
resistance in bacteria
GWAMAR is a tool for detecting of drug resistance-associated mutations
in bacteria through comparative analysis of whole-genome sequences. The
pipeline of GWAMAR comprises several steps. First, for a set of closely
related bacterial genomes, it employs eCAMBer to identify homologous
gene families. Second, based on multiple alignments of the gene
families, it identifies mutations among the strains of interest. Third,
it calculates several statistics to identify which mutations are the
 most associated with drug resistance.

Description : Perl module that generates a test function for a function

Gen::Test::Rinci::FuncResult generates a test function for a function as
output.

This module accepts, among others, the name or the reference to the function
that wants to test (T) and the name of the generated function, B.

B will run T once with some specified arguments, catch exception, and test its
result. The result is expected to be an enveloped result.

The package will be maintained under the umbrella of the Debian Perl Group.

We (Robotics section of Debian Science team) are packaging
ROS (Robot OS: http://www.ros.org/) for Debian. ROS uses
many packages already in Debian, but also has a set of
core/toolchain/build-system packages which are not yet
uploaded. This package is part of that ROS system.

Most of the packaging work is already done, and available at
http://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/debian-science/packages/ros/

  Package name: ros-rosinstall-generator
  Version : 0.1.11
  URL : http://www.ros.org/wiki/rosinstall_generator
  License : BSD-3-clause
  Programming Lang: Python
Description : Tool to generate rosinstall files (for Robot OS)

This package is part of Robot OS (ROS). It contains a tool to
generate rosinstall files which contain information about repositories
with ROS packages/stacks. It always returns information about
released packages - either to the gbp repositories for wet packages
or to the tarball of dry stacks from the SVN release repository.

* Package name: memtool
  Version : 2015.12.0
  Upstream Author : Pengutronix
* URL : http://www.pengutronix.de/software/memtool/index_en.html
* License : GPLv2
  Programming Lang: C
Description : manipulate and read memory mapped registers

memtool is a program we use at Pengutronix to inspect and modify
registers mostly on arm/armhf. It's functions are inspired by the
respective functions (md and mw) of the barebox bootloader. Usually it
works on /dev/mem but can be used to modify other character devices
(like /dev/fb0) for example.

There exist some alternatives:
 - memtool (argh, same name)
   ftp://ftp.koansoftware.com/public/linux/memtool/memtool.c
It's less flexible, doesn't format it's output that nicely
and also doesn't include an ascii representation.

 - devmem2
Similar to memtool. There is an RFP at http://bugs.debian.org/595805
from 2010 which looks orphaned however. Some crititcs pointed out
in the bug's log maybe also applies to memtool (hard coding page
size, hardcoding sizeof(long) == 4) etc.) but I'm willing to fix
   these up.

 - memedit
   http://www.pengutronix.de/software/memedit/index_en.html
this is really clumsy to use because you have to map memory
   by hand.

I'm sure there are more, but I didn't find any of these in Debian.

Best regards
Uwe

ruby-simplecov-html - default HTML formatter for SimpleCov code coverage tool
Closes: 709441
Changes:
 ruby-simplecov-html (0.10.0-1) unstable; urgency=medium
 .
   * New upstream release (Closes: #709441)
(previous version was never accepted in the archive)
   * Refresh patches
   * Update packaging with a new dh-make-ruby run
 - ignoring test suite since it's not useful
   * debian/patches/dont-touch-load-path.patch: avoid messing with $LOAD_PATH.
Fixes getting test coverage on projects that are also installed locally as
 Debian packages.
   * debian/rules: dynamically build public/application.js
   * debian/patches/port-to-newer-jquery.patch: replace usage of function that
 was removed from jQuery.

Bug#807364: RFP: supercollider-sc3-plugins -- Community collection of UGen plugins for SuperCollider

2015-12-08 Thread Hanno Zulla
Hi,

> A draft package is available from
> http://ppa.launchpad.net/sonic-pi/ppa/ubuntu/pool/main/s/supercollider-sc3-plugins/
> >

That draft package is a first packaging attempt. I intended to make it
acceptable for to the Debian archive, but it isn't ready yet. Help is
appreciated, as Debian compliance is a major goal for this packaging
attempt.

Status:

The plugins are maintained at
https://github.com/supercollider/sc3-plugins

The source package contains two convenience copies of code.

  1) libstk

Which has been packaged by Debian, but with a bug that makes it
unusable for compiling sc3-plugins with it.

I have filed a bug at
  https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=805549
and the Debian Multimedia team has published an update (thanks!)
  which I haven't tested, yet.

  2) nova-simd

Which has not been packaged by Debian yet. nova-simd is also
contained as a convenience copy in the main supercollider Debian
  source package.

The current sc3-plugins release 3.7.0-alpha1 has a bug that has been
fixed in the git master version, see
https://github.com/supercollider/sc3-plugins/issues/45
for details. The developers plan to push out a new release soon.

Regards,

Hanno
