mailing list for a review.

This package is part of Robot OS (ROS). tf2 is the second generation
of the transform library, which lets the user keep track of multiple
coordinate frames over time. tf2 maintains the relationship between
coordinate frames in a tree structure buffered in time, and lets the
user transform points, vectors, etc between any two coordinate frames
at any desired point in time.

This is a remake of the mythical XCOM serise ("UFO: Enemy Unknown"), with a
quake2-based engine for tactical missions. This version is only a
"technical demo" coming with 3 missions, but I'm working on packaging 4
other maps already available.

For the impatient, preliminary packages are available at
http://ydirson.free.fr/soft/debian/ufoai/

The only downside is that most of the artwork has a usage restriction, which
makes the data non-free, and the game contrib.

Thanks for the link :-) The package was removed because it was severely
out of date, using a version that has known security issues, and no
active maintainers to update it. I've asked on the
Pkg-mediawiki-devel[2] list if anyone else is interested in helping out.

The new package is based on the old one, however it was extremely old
that a lot of it was either removed or replaced (no-longer needed
patches, references to apache-ssl, etc.).

I've skimmed through the closed bugs, will take a closer look at them
shortly.

Bug#808611: JUCE is also a build dependency for OpenShot 2.x

2016-01-12 Thread Ghislain Vaillant

Hi Iohannes,

Just to add that the recently released version of OpenShot 2.x requires
JUCE as a build dependency (libopenshot-audio). Right now, it is using
an embedded copy, which is not desirable from a packaging perspective.

Have you had any success in packaging JUCE so far? Please let me know of
your progress.

Cheers,
Ghis

  Long description:

MooseFS (MFS) is a fault tolerant, highly available, highly performing,
scaling-out, network distributed file system. It spreads data over several
physical servers which are visible to the user as one resource. For standard
file operations MooseFS mounted with FUSE acts as other Unix-alike file systems:

  * A hierarchical structure (directory tree)
  * Stores POSIX file attributes (permissions, last access and modification
times)
  * Supports special files (block and character devices, pipes and sockets)
  * Symbolic links (file names pointing to target files, not necessarily on
MooseFS) and hard links (different names of files which refer to the same data
on MooseFS)
  * Access to the file system can be limited based on IP address and/or
password

Distinctive features of MooseFS are:

  * High availability
  * High reliability (several copies of the data can be stored on separate
computers)
  * Capacity is dynamically expandable by simply adding new computers/disks
  * Deleted files are retained for a configurable period of time (a file
system level "trash bin")
  * Coherent snapshots of files, even while the file is being
written/accessed

We're already publishing own packages repository
(https://moosefs.com/download/ubuntudebian.html
).
We would like to make MooseFS available directly in Debian! :)

Description : Emacs Lisp noflet macro for dynamic, local advice

The noflet macro lets Emacs lisp programmers locally override
functions, in the manner of `flet', but with access to the original
function through the symbol `this-fn'.

I am packaging this as a build dependency for projectile, another ITP
of mine. I intend to maintain it under the pkg-emacsen team.

We (Robotics section of Debian Science team) are packaging
ROS (Robot OS: http://www.ros.org/) for Debian. ROS uses
many packages already in Debian, but also has a set of
core/toolchain/build-system packages which are not yet
uploaded. This package is part of that ROS system.

Most of the packaging work is already done, and available at
http://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/debian-science/packages/ros/

  Package name: ros-image-common
  Version : 1.11.7
  URL : http://www.ros.org/wiki/image_common
  License : BSD-3-clause
  Programming Lang: C++
Description : Robot OS camera and image libraries

This package is part of Robot OS (ROS). It contains several ROS
packages for working with images: camera_info_manager,
 camera_calibration_parsers, polled_camera, and image_transport.
 .
camera_info_manager provides a C++ interface for camera calibration
information. It provides CameraInfo, and handles SetCameraInfo
service requests, saving and restoring the camera calibration data.
 .
camera_calibration_parsers contains routines for reading and writing
 camera calibration parameters
 .
polled_camera contains a service and C++ helper classes for
implementing a polled camera driver node and requesting images from
it. The package is currently for internal use as the API is still
under development. C++, python and LISP bindings are provided.
 .
image_transport should always be used to subscribe to and publish
images. It provides transparent support for transporting images in
 low-bandwidth compressed formats.

Bug#810788: ITP: openshot-qt -- high quality video editing and animation solutions

2016-01-12 Thread Ghislain Vaillant
Dear Gregor and Jonas,

> Is this about packaging the new 2.x series separately?

Yes indeed. The rationales for it is that Jonathan (the upstream developer),
already provides different source packages in respective PPAs for 1.x [1]
and 2.x [2].

[1] https://launchpad.net/~openshot.developers/+archive/ubuntu/daily
[2]
https://launchpad.net/~openshot.developers/+archive/ubuntu/libopenshot-daily

So it would make things easier for him, assuming he wants to rebase his PPAs
on top of the Debian packages, if the packages available in Debian were to
keep
the same naming convention.

> Please strongly consider coordinate with openshot maintainer, e.g. to
> maybe ship an openshot-common package with reusable parts.

Already done. Jonathan also happens to be the Debian maintainer of the
current
openshot package. He is happy to have someone managing this over on the
Debian
side.

> You might also - both of you - consider joining the Debian Multimedia
> team :-)

Great suggestion. I will send a request to join in and ask Jonathan.

Best regards,
Ghis

Getting 500 errors from wnpp process via reportbug

2016-01-12 Thread Nicholas H.Tollervey
Hi wnpp maintainers,

TL;DR what the subject says. Transcript of the interaction below. I'm
using an up-to-date Jessie amd64.

Given that it's an internal server error, I'm not sure what more I can
do / suggest.

Many thanks in advance for your help with this.

Best wishes,

Nicholas.

openshot exists in Debian:
https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/openshot

Is this about packaging the new 2.x series separately?

Openshot (linked gainst GTK+) is already packaged in Debian.

Please strongly consider coordinate with openshot maintainer, e.g. to
maybe ship an openshot-common package with reusable parts.
