Okay. Are you planning to tag a release after you merge into master? If a new release is imminent I'll hold off uploading my package. No pressure; just let me know your plans. > Does a Deb package usually run tests? From the point of view of saving > some disk space, maybe this is not wanted. Yes, if there is an upstream test suite then a Debian package should run it at package build time. We also have a CI farm running tests and I intend to run OCRmyPDF's tests there too. It wouldn't help with disc space as Debian packages are meant to include an untouched copy of upstream releases. -- Sean Whitton signature.asc Description: PGP signature

[...] Then I am not sure I understand why the debian/copyright file draft you sent states Files: * Copyright: 2003-2011, TrueCrypt Developers Association 2013-2014, IDRIX License: TC-3.0 or Ms-PL What's Ms-PL ? Shouldn't it be Apache-2.0 ? Moreover, "or" means dual-licensing, but I understand this to be a code-mixing case: I think "and" should be used instead. See https://www.debian.org/doc/packaging-manuals/copyright-format/1.0/ for more details. Anyway, without looking at any further details, a question arises: why are you packaging veracrypt for the non-free archive? what does it offer that tcplay doesn't? See https://packages.debian.org/sid/tcplay https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/tcplay I hope this helps a little. Bye. -- http://www.inventati.org/frx/ There's not a second to spare! To the laboratory! . Bug#814924: ITP: artfastqgenerator -- ouputs artificial FASTQ files derived from a reference genome
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: Andreas Tille * Package name: artfastqgenerator Version : 0.0.20150519 Upstream Author : Matthew Frampton * URL : https://sourceforge.net/projects/artfastqgen * License : GPL Programming Lang: Java Description : ouputs artificial FASTQ files derived from a reference genome ArtificialFastqGenerator takes the reference genome (in FASTA format) as input and outputs artificial FASTQ files in the Sanger format. It can accept Phred base quality scores from existing FASTQ files, and use them to simulate sequencing errors. Since the artificial FASTQs are derived from the reference genome, the reference genome provides a gold-standard for calling variants (Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms (SNPs) and insertions and deletions (indels)). This enables evaluation of a Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) analysis pipeline which aligns reads to the reference genome and then calls the variants. This package will be maintained by the Debian Med team at Vcs-Git: https://anonscm.debian.org/git/debian-med/artfastqgenerator.git

Bug#787491: ITP: sphde -- Shared Persistent Heap Data Environment
Hi Gianfranco, I've reworked sphde packaging. A new version is on mentor.d.n based on a new release of sphde ; that release integrates some patches I did to fix previous lintians error found on the upstream. Note : there's still a few little things to improve but I wanted to have advises if I'm ok so far (especially for -doc package). > d/changelog: please set to "unstable" the target series done > d/control: what about having the doxygen documentation in a -doc package > arch=all with doxygen moved to build-depends-indep? > > look e.g. > https://sources.debian.net/src/websocketpp/0.6.0-1/debian/control/ > and the rules file > (note, you might need to run dh_auto_configure again in the > dh_auto_build-indep: > target) done > d/*.install > usr/share/man/man1/sasutil.1 done > d/control: > the package seems multiarch? well, set multiarch in the control file then :) oops, forgot that one in my latest upload on mentors.. will fix that soon. > d/*dev.install > are you sure you want to ship a static library? removed. Well, it was originally copied by make install, but maybe not much necessary. > > d/p/*LDFLAGS: > the patch seems to have some autogenerated output inside. patch now upstream. > all the patches have the "changelog" quote, please remove it. no patches anymore New remaining lintians : P: debian-watch-may-check-gpg-signature: I'd need to ask upstream to do something about it. It happens so often. X: duplicate-files: Those are files generated by doxygen, not sure what to do about that. X: shlib-calls-exit: I definitly have to check with upstream F.

Bug#813562: Copyright clarification of some test resources files
I updated my tree, eliminating one file whose status I couldn't determine, replacing another with an equivalent free file and documenting the rest. The file has also been renamed to README so that Github shows it automatically. https://github.com/jbarlow83/OCRmyPDF/tree/develop/tests/resources Please note this is in my develop branch at the moment, not yet merged into master until I fix a few broken test cases (unrelated reasons). Does a Deb package usually run tests? From the point of view of saving some disk space, maybe this is not wanted.
