Okay, I'll adopt it.

WIll dput shortly.

If anyone else wants it, or wants to co-maintain, that would be great.
I will make a collab-maint packaging repo, and mirror it on github to

Bug#839915: ITP: crac -- integrated RNA-Seq read analysis

2016-10-06 Thread Andreas Tille
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: Andreas Tille

* Package name: crac
  Version : 2.5.0
  Upstream Author : Nicolas PHILIPPE, Mikaël SALSON, a.o.
* URL : http://crac.gforge.inria.fr
* License : CeCILL
  Programming Lang: C++
  Description : integrated RNA-Seq read analysis
 CRAC is a tool to analyze High Throughput Sequencing (HTS) data in
 comparison to a reference genome. It is intended for transcriptomic
 and genomic sequencing reads. More precisely, with transcriptomic
 reads as input, it predicts point mutations, indels, splice junction,
 and chimeric RNAs (ie, non colinear splice junctions). CRAC can also
 output positions and nature of sequence error that it detects in the
 reads. CRAC uses a genome index. This index must be computed before
 running the read analysis. For this sake, use the command "crac-index"
 on your genome files. You can then process the reads using the command
 crac. See the man page of CRAC (help file) by typing "man crac". CRAC
 requires large amount of main memory on your computer. For processing
 against the Human genome, say 50 million reads of 100 nucleotide each,
 CRAC requires about 40 gigabytes of main memory. Check whether the
 system of your computing server is equipped with sufficient amount of
 memory before launching an analysis.

Bug#839918: RFP: hwgen -- A Handwriting Generator For Presentation Design

2016-10-06 Thread shulero
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

* Package name: hwgen
  Version : 1916
  Upstream Author : Bernhard R. Fischer
* URL : https://www.cypherpunk.at/download/hwgen/
* License : GPLv3
  Programming Lang: C
  Description : handwriting generator

hwgen is a tool which creates electronic documents with a real
handwritten-like font. Sometimes it is desirable to use a font which looks
similar to a handwritten text. Those fonts typically are called script
fonts and a quick Google search results in several million hits. Although
many of them look as designed by a calligraphist, all of those fonts work
in the same way as every other font does (such as Times, Helvetica, and
even Microsoft’s ugly Comic Sans.). Text is combined out of a set of
static glyphs, one for each character.

Hwgen uses a “font definition database” (which is currently an array in
C), which defines the glyphs for each letter as a set of b-splines. When
rendering a specific glyph Hwgen slightly randomizes the nodes of the
splines. Thus, each glyph looks similar but not identical. These glyphs
were created manually within many hours of work, one by one. For the tool
to be more useful, a small HTML-like parser was implemented which converts
an HTML document directly into a PDF or into several JPGs.

* Package name: neutron-dynamic-routing

  Upstream Author : OpenStack Foundation
* URL : https://github.com/openstack/neutron-dynamic-routing
* License : Apache-2.0
  Programming Lang: Python
  Description : OpenStack Neutron Dynamic Routing

 Neutron provides an API to dynamically request and configure virtual networks.
 These networks connect "interfaces" from other OpenStack services (such as
 vNICs from Nova VMs). The Neutron API supports extensions to provide advanced
 network capabilities, including QoS, ACLs, and network monitoring.
 .
 Neutron dynamic routing enables advertisement of self-service (private)
 network prefixes to physical network devices that support dynamic routing
 protocols such as routers, thus removing the conventional dependency on static
 routes.
 .
 It advertises three classes of routes:
  * Host routes for floating IP addresses hosted on non-DVR routers, the
nexthop is the centralized router.
  * Host routes for floating IP addresses hosted on DVR routers, the nexthop is
the appropriate compute node.
  * Prefix routes for directly routable tenant networks with address scopes,
the nexthop is the centralized router, the same for DVR and CVR.
 .
 Neutron dynamic routing consists of service plug-in and agent. The service
 plug-in implements the Networking service extension and the agent manages
 dynamic routing protocol peering sessions. The plug-in communicates with the
 agent through RPC.

  Description : Python library for building configuration shells

 The python-configshell-fb package is a Python library that provides a
 framework for building simple but nice CLI-based applications. It is
 compatible with Python 3.

 The python-configshell-fb package is a fork of the python-configshell
 package and will replace it. It is a dependency of the targetcli-fb
 package which is a command-line interface for configuring the LIO
 generic SCSI target, present in the Linux kernel. An ITP bug for
 targetcli-fb will be submitted later.

 I will co-maintain the package in the linux-target Alioth packaging
 project.

  Description : lightweight implementation of the TLS/SSL protocols

S2N ("Signal to noise") is a C99 implementation of the TLS/SSL protocols.
One of the main goals of this project is to keep the code base as lean as
possible to be fast and to reduce security risks. s2n implements SSLv3,
TLS1.0, TLS1.1, and TLS1.2. For encryption, s2n supports 128-bit and
256-bit AES, in the CBC and GCM modes, 3DES, and RC4.

 This module uses source-map to replace the paths and line numbers
 of source-mapped files with their original counterparts in the real
 sources.

I plan to package it within the Debian JavaScript Maintainers
repository. It is a dep for node-rollup, which is a new build-dep of my
node-es6-promise package.

Bug#839836: Reintroducing dasher

2016-10-06 Thread Thibaut Paumard
Dear former maintainers and uploaders of dasher,

Dasher was recently removed from Debian with the comment that if someone
cared enough, they should reintroduce it.

I care enough.

I'd like to check with you whether I should keep you as uploaders, and
who of you is still motivated to work on the package?

Offline discussions make me think dasher would find a nice and cosy home
under the debian-accessibility umbrella whereas it was formerly
maintained by the GNOME team. Do you have strong feelings about this?

Any other advice welcome.

Kind regards, Thibaut.

Since I added myself as uploader just for fixing an RC bug I'm OK with
being removed.

Thanks for taking care of package.

I think this reflect the interest in the package much better.

Cheers,
Balint

Bug#839940: RFP: ponymix -- CLI volume control for PulseAudio

2016-10-06 Thread Joachim Breitner
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

* Package name: ponymix
  Version : 5
  Upstream Author : Dave Reisner
* URL : https://github.com/falconindy/ponymix
* License : MIT
  Programming Lang: C++
  Description : CLI volume control for PulseAudio

Ponymix is a command line mixer for PulseAudio.

I found that this is the most viable solution for scripting pulse
audio,
e.g. toggling volume and mic via keyboard shortcuts in my window
manager. I have been using it for a while now, and would like to see it
packaged in Debian, but I believe someone else might be more suited to
maintain a C++ package than me.

Hello, I hope you are well.

My name is Simon Hamilton and I work for a company based in CA.

I was doing some research on your industry and I landed on your website.
Thing is i had a look at some of the other businesses who are currently

Long story short, I have created a WebsiteAudit which addresses all of the
technical and web errors on your website that is stopping you from ranking
on PAGE 1…

All I want is the opportunity to call you and discuss THE WEBSITE AUDIT in
greater detail.

What do you think?

The main function, `ace-window' is meant to replace `other-window'. In fact,
when there are only two windows present, `other-window' is called. If there
are more, each window will have its first character highlighted. Pressing

Clod is a configuration language written in Lua which implements a simple
dotted key/value pair system which tries to keep programmatic edits in-line
with what humans would do in a similar situation.

This is a dependency of Gitano (A git server written in Lua which focusses
on keeping everything in Git, including hooks).

I am the upstream and will maintain it primarily; though I have offers from
at least one, possibly two prospective DMs to help.

* Package name: FITSH
  Version : 0.9.2
  Upstream Author : Andras Pal
* URL : http://fitsh.net/
* License : GPLv3
  Programming Lang: C
  Description : A software package for astronomical image processing

FITSH is a full-featured open-source software collection related to
astronomical image analysis and data processing [1]. This package includes set
of executables designed to perform the most essential astronomical image
reduction (and related) steps, including:
 - Providing basic information about the images or other FITS data, pixel
statistics

 - Conversion of FITS images to more easily presentable formats.
 - Querying and modification of FITS header keywords.
 - Calibration of raw images, including the masking of bad, saturated or
otherwise unuseable pixels.

 - Arithmetic operations on images, both on per-image and per-pixel basis.
 - Combination of multiple images into a single one.
 - Generic spatial geometric transformations of images (shifting, dilating,
shrinking, clipping, higher order polynomial transformations, ...), including
the registration of images to the same reference frame.

 - Generation of artificial images.
 - Detection and characterization of stellar profiles.
 - Coordinate list manipulation (fit and evaluation of geometric
transformations, point matching, pair matching, cross-matching of catalogues
and source lists, matching by identifiers, ...)
 - Instrumental photometry (aperture, image subtraction, analytic profile
modelling, point-spread functions and various other sophisticated combinations
of these).

 - Regression analysis and general numeric data manipulation.
 - The tasks are optimized for shell-level parallel processing.

This package will maintained within the Debian Astronomy Working Group. A git
repository will be created on alioth.

2016-10-06 Thread Peter Colberg

* Package name: golang-github-hlandau-buildinfo
  Version : 0.0~git20160722.0.b25d4b0
  Upstream Author : Hugo Landau
* URL : https://github.com/hlandau/buildinfo
* License : Expat
  Programming Lang: Go
  Description : Go build information utilities

This package provides small build information utilities for tracking Go binary
version information. Rather than trying to assign a linear version number to
a binary, the tag names and version control commit hashes of all dependencies
are tracked. This information is embedded into the binary at build time.

This package is a prerequisite for acmetool (>= 0.0.58-1).
