It contains links to relevant documentation, which you'll probably want to read. Anyone can upload their Debian package to mentors.debian.net after a quite easy procedure of signing up, and ask for review and sponsorship. So, I's say that it is a better place for your concern. Bug#877241: RFP: jkcemu -- Java KC-Emulator
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist * Package name: jkcemu Version : 0.9.7 Upstream Author : Jens Mueller* URL : http://www.jens-mueller.org/jkcemu/ * License : GPL Programming Lang: Java Description : Java KC-Emulator JKCEMU is an integrated emulator application that allows one to run most of the old home and minicomputer operating systems made in GDR. The emulation supports a number of additional hardware, e.g. floppy disk drives, extended graphic modules, Joysticks and specific network and USB adapters. JKCEMU supoorts the most popular home and minicomputer (KC87, KC85/2-5, Z1013 or AC1) and can also be used as an emulator of a Z80 custom computer with user-defined properties such as for example RAM, ROM, PIO, SIO, CTC, floppy and hard disks. I'm using jkcemu successfully for about 7 years to emulate my very old PC/M system. In all that time I've maintained a private Debian package for my self. With this RFP I'll try to see jkcemu in the Debian project officially and would like to become a Debian package maintainer for it. So I'm looking for a Sponsor and supporter to become a maintainer. If this really happens, then I would also work on further packages with focus on Z80 emulation and old floppy disk image tools.

Bug#706656: ITP: cura -- Controller for 3D printers
Hi, Thanks both for getting this moving again! I was distracted, so didn't reply, sorry about that. I agree that the packages are in pretty good shape, and any problems that they still have can be dealt with after they have moved into unstable. If I'm to sponsor the package, I would suggest becoming a DM soon, so you don't need to wait for me. As I'm sure you noticed, I tend to be MIA at times. In such cases, also please send me a ping if I'm taking long. On Thu, Sep 28, 2017 at 09:18:28AM +0200, Petter Reinholdtsen wrote: > OK, so lets start with libArcus, then. I'm not sure it is fair to use infrastructure of a free software project such as Debian as a platform to distribute your non-free software, especially considering you base it on free software packages such as librtlsdr and dump1090. We'd welcome it as if it were free software, but I see no benefit to Debian or Debian users from it as it is now. If anything, I'd vote against inclusion of such software even into non-free. -- Cheers, Andrew

We have considered open source however it's not suitable for this particular project, since our decoding algorithms are valuable intellectual property that our business rivals might gain an advantage from and we would therefore not want to offer that for free. Rather our purpose with including this software in your repo is more to make it widely available and easily installed from a trusted source.
