Please note in the package description that this inherits a security
issue (#839278) from oathtool and consequently that it should not be
used on multi-user systems without /proc privacy turned to the maximum
setting.

libtensorflow.so FTBFS with double-conversion 3.0.0 so I need a snapshot
version of double-conversion. Updated package has been prepared in a
separate branch:

I haven't checked API, but there is no ABI bump. Should I ask for a
transition slot and bump ABI anyway?

sphinx-apidoc is a tool for automatic generation of Sphinx sources that, using
the autodoc sphinx_autodoc extension, documents a whole package in the style
of other automatic API documentation tools. sphinx-apidoc does not actually
build documentation - rather it simply generates it. As a result, it must be
 run before sphinx-build.

Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

I request an adopter for the vm package.

The package description is:
VM (View Mail) is an Emacs subsystem that allows UNIX mail to be read
and disposed of within Emacs. Commands exist to do the normal things
expected of a mail user agent, such as generating replies, saving
messages to folders, deleting messages and so on. There are other
more advanced commands that do tasks like bursting and creating
digests, message forwarding, and organizing message presentation
according to various criteria. With smtpmail in modern emacsen, you do
not need an MTA locally in order to use VM.
 .
This package does not cater to XEmacs, since vm comes (by default)
 bundled in with XEmacs.

Upstream for this package seems to be dead again, and the issues
facing this package are getting to the point that I can't spend the
time it needs; my interests seem to be drifting away from this package
(I am more and more using IMAP and gnu, these days).

Bug#745661: Weblate packaging → Salsa?

2018-08-18 Thread Ulrike Uhlig
Hi Martin!

I just realize right now that we've been in touch before concerning this
package… I guess none of us was interested enough in migrating the
existing packaging to Salsa.

At Tails we are still interested in seeing this packaged, but we have
not tried it ourselves (yet?).

However, we've made some progress on listing dependencies, see
https://labs.riseup.net/code/issues/10038

I still have a local copy of the packaging files dating back to 2015
which I could upload to Salsa.

Is anybody interested in this?

Cheers!
Ulrike

Description : high-dimensional medians in Python
Various definitions for a high-dimensional median exist and this Python
package provides a number of fast implementations of these definitions.
Medians are extremely useful due to their high breakdown point (up to
50% contamination) and have a number of nice applications in machine
learning, computer vision, and high-dimensional statistics.
 .
This package currently has implementations of medoid and geometric
median with support for missing data using NaN.
 .
This is the package for Python2

Remark: This package is maintained by Debian Med Packaging Team at
   https://salsa.debian.org/med-team/python-hdmedians
This package is needed for the new version of python-skbio.

* Package name: django-cas-server
  Version : 0.9.9
  Upstream Author : Valentin Samir
* URL : https://github.com/nitmir/django-cas-server
* License : GPL-3
  Programming Lang: Python
Description : CAS server library for Django
CAS Server is a Django application implementing the Central Authentication
Service (CAS) Protocol version 3.0 specification.

 - Why is this package useful/relevant?

A Django client for CAS already exists in Debian
(python-django-casclient), however, there does not appear to be a
python-based CAS server available.

 - Is it a dependency for another package? No.

 - Do you use it? Yes.

 - If there are other packages providing similar functionality, how does it
 compare?

The package lemonldap-ng is written in perl and supports CAS. It is
a very full featured, standalone SSO system. However it (in my
opinion) is a little too complex for simple environments. In
contrast, django-cas-server can simply plug into an existing Django
deployment with little difficulty (and fewer features).

 - How do you plan to maintain it?

I am willing to join the Debian Python Module Team and maintain it under
that umbrella. However, if it doesn't make sense for me to join the
team for one package, then I'm willing to maintain it by myself.
Either is acceptable to me.

  Description :
Python framework which provides a platform for the
security testing of smart meters. It implements the C1218 and C1219
protocols
for communication over an optical interface. Currently supported are
Meters
using C1219-2007 with 7-bit character sets. This is the most common
configuration found in North America. Termineter communicates with Smart
Meters via a connection using an ANSI type-2 optical probe with a serial
 interface.

Hello Michael,

I'm going to ITA libjs-cssrelpreload but I've a little question: why did
you choose to name it libjs-cssrelpreload instead of libjs-loadcss?
(Remote name is loadCSS)

You should probably check with reverse dependencies that it's ok to
package a snapshot. In particular, Qt5 depends on double-conversion, so
you should handle this package with care.

Best,

Bug#815264: O: double-conversion -- routines to convert IEEE floats to and from strings

2018-08-18 Thread Lumin
control: owner -1
control: retitle -1 ITA: double-conversion -- routines to convert IEEE floats
to and from strings

double-conversion is a tensorflow dependency and surprisingly it was
orphaned. I will continue maintaining it within d-science team.

However, in order to avoid embedding a copy of double-conversion source
code in tensorflow source package, may I upload a snapshot[1] version of
double-conversion specified by tensorflow? Then I only need to embed a
copy of eigen3.

The version number will be 3.0+git20180413.3992066 .

Description-en: Ear training software
GNU Solfege is an ear training program for X Window written in Python,
using the GTK+ 2.0 libraries. You can practice harmonic and
melodic intervals, chords, scales and rhythms, and you can add new
exercises using a simple plain text file format.
 .
Ear training is a big subject with many connections to music theory
and performance of music, so I won't even try to make "a complete
computer-based ear training course". But I hope someone find this
 software useful.
