It uses systemd-nspawn instead of plain chroots to for the build environment. This allows Debspawn to isolate builds from the host system much further, and allows for features like per-build resource control. Debspawn also allows to run arbitrary custom commands in its environment. This is used by Laniakea workers to execute a variety of non-package builds and QA actions in the same environment in which packages are usually built. This tool was created as a quick hack at DebConf, but has proven to be really useful, and is now part of the Laniakea suite for managing a Debian archive. Packaging Laniakea itself is planned, but that will take a while and a lot of upstream changes. Debspawn is standalone and useful without it, so it's the first tool to make it to Debian proper. I intend to maintain the package in a soon-to-be-created Laniakea Team on Salsa (or alternatively, in collab-main). --- End Message --- --- Begin Message --- Source: debspawn Source-Version: 0.1.0-1 We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of debspawn, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive. Bug#906889: RFA: smcroute -- static multicast router daemon
A few bits I would like to add: * Git repository for the Debian packaging With the advent of Debian's Gitlab server salsa.debian.org, I don't intend to continue hosting my own Git server. I already moved the smcroute repository to https://salsa.debian.org/debian/smcroute, yet an upload with updated VCS headers in debian/control still needs to happen. * The only open Debian bug is a request for a new upstream version being uploaded to Debian. https://bugs.debian.org/846780 * User need for the package in Debian Apparently there are users out there that are waiting for an updated package in Debian/Ubuntu. In the upstream issue tracker a request for updated Debian packages is filed as https://github.com/troglobit/smcroute/issues/94 Happy coding and have fun, Micha

I have - and thank you for creating the RFP - but I have a concern about the DFSG-compatibility of the embedded-firmware-as-a-string in the uflash.py script (which is also included in the mu-editor source...).
