Ahh, OK. Its no real problem.

You do not even need to set something explicitly. Just file the ITP
bug - either manually or by using

Just uploaded. Thanks a lot for the preparation of your first package!

Just work on it if your time permits. If there is a real user request
for a certain plugin we might see whether somebody can help.

Sorry for this mess! In the beginning, I set the bug owner to "Debian Med
Packaging Team " (just how I
did it earlier), but strangely it appeared truncated to "Debian Med
Packaging Team <". I was trying to fix this a couple of times. Then I had
tried to set the owner to "Debian Med team "
just to see if it also would appear truncated, but it was set properly.

Yes, I think it's ready for uploading. Thank you!

One more thing, related to QIIME 2. I have found recently that qiime2 and
q2cli are just frameworks for plugins [1][2] that do the real job. I am
fine with packaging all of them but in my case, it will not be very soon.
Are we in a big hurry to finish everything related to QIIME 2?

Bug#925417: ITP: kallisto -- near-optimal RNA-Seq quantification

2019-03-24 Thread Andreas Tille
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

Subject: ITP: kallisto -- near-optimal RNA-Seq quantification
Package: wnpp
Owner: Andreas Tille
Severity: wishlist

* Package name: kallisto
  Version : 0.45.1
  Upstream Author : Nicolas Bray, Harold Pimentel, Páll Melsted and Lior Pachter
* URL : https://pachterlab.github.io/kallisto
* License : BSD-2-Clause
  Programming Lang: C
  Description : near-optimal RNA-Seq quantification
 Kallisto is a program for quantifying abundances of transcripts from
 RNA-Seq data, or more generally of target sequences using high-throughput
 sequencing reads. It is based on the novel idea of pseudoalignment for
 rapidly determining the compatibility of reads with targets, without the
 need for alignment. On benchmarks with standard RNA-Seq data, kallisto
 can quantify 30 million human reads in less than 3 minutes on a Mac
 desktop computer using only the read sequences and a transcriptome index
 that itself takes less than 10 minutes to build. Pseudoalignment of
 reads preserves the key information needed for quantification, and
 kallisto is therefore not only fast, but also as accurate than existing
 quantification tools. In fact, because the pseudoalignment procedure is
 robust to errors in the reads, in many benchmarks kallisto significantly
 outperforms existing tools.

Remark: This package is maintained by Debian Med Packaging Team at
   https://salsa.debian.org/med-team/kallisto

While I think there is no harm done by changing the owner of this ITP
bug its rather unusual. The changelog entry which will close the bug
mentions your ID - so that ITP bug belongs to you and is closed by you.

Bug#925405: ITP: picotls -- library for TLS 1.3 (RFC 8446)

2019-03-24 Thread Daniel Kahn Gillmor
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: Daniel Kahn Gillmor

* Package name: picotls
  Version : 0.0.20190320
  Upstream Author : Kazuho Oku
* URL : https://github.com/h2o/picotls
* License : MIT, CC0
  Programming Lang: C
  Description : library for TLS 1.3 (RFC 8446)

Picotls is a compact, opinionated library implementing TLS 1.3. It is
useful as an element in other protocol implementations that
incorporate TLS 1.3, and it provides two different cryptographic
backends (with different licensing implications):

 - minicrypto (based on cifra and micro-ecc)
 - OpenSSL (based on OpenSSL)

While picotls upstream currently only ships static libraries, I've
spoken with Kazuho and he believes picotls is approaching interface
stability. The packaging effort here is likely to involve a bit of
work with upstream to get it into shape as a shared object with a
declared interface.
