* Package name: golang-sslmate-go-pkcs12
  Version : 0.0~git20201103.57fc603
  Upstream Author : SSLMate
* URL : https://software.sslmate.com/src/go-pkcs12/
* License : BSD-3-Clause
  Programming Lang: Go
Description : Go library for encoding and decoding PKCS#12 files

Package pkcs12 implements some of PKCS#12 (also known as P12 or PFX).
It is intended for decoding DER-encoded P12/PFX files for use with the
crypto/tls package, and for encoding P12/PFX files for use by legacy
applications which do not support newer formats. Since PKCS#12 uses
weak encryption primitives, it SHOULD NOT be used for new applications.

There is a package named golang-github-azure-go-pkcs12-dev in the
repository, but the upstream of this package was merged into the Go
x/crypto repository. And in
https://pkg.go.dev/golang.org/x/crypto/pkcs12, it says this package is
frozen. If it's missing functionality you need, consider an
alternative like software.sslmate.com/src/go-pkcs12

Description : Aspect-oriented mocking framework for PHP

AspectMock is not an ordinary PHP mocking framework. With the power of Aspect
Oriented programming and the awesome Go-AOP library, AspectMock allows you to
stub and mock practically anything in your PHP code!
.
With AspectMock you can unit-test practically any OOP code. PHP powered with
AOP incorporates features of dynamic languages we have long been missing. There
is no excuse for not testing your code. You do not have to rewrite it from
scratch to make it testable. Just install AspectMock with PHPUnit or
Codeception and try to write some tests. It's really, really simple!
.
Key features:
- Create test doubles for static methods.
- Create test doubles for class methods called anywhere.
- Redefine methods on the fly.
- Simple syntax that's easy to remember.

This package is needed for automated testing of php-ramsey-uuid.

It could possibly be maintained within the Debian PHP PEAR Maintainers team.

Yeah I'd say going for ITA makes most sense here so that's what I would like
to do. Reading around a bit I find WNPP wiki page[1], the "ITA" entry of the
"Removing entries" seems appropriate. However not being an Debian maintainer
currently it seems inappropriate for me to actually do this.

[1] https://www.debian.org/devel/wnpp/

The mentor system also seems to have some overlap with GitLab's merge
requests. I know Salsa is relatively new in Debian and am guessing it's mostly
a maintainer preference which tooling and flow to use. So far I am most
comfortable with the gbp tooling, as it nicely integrates with a git-based
workflow which I'm used to.

I am used to working with GitLab and prefer direct merge requests as the
ability to iterate with inline diffs with explicit thread resolution is a very
nice review process in my opinion.

Typically in a situation where a non-privileged user is contributing (that
would be me) I would either fork the project and submit merge requests to
upstream. Somewhat more comfortable is being granted developer permissions[2]
on the project and then protecting[3] the primary branches so that only a
maintainer can push/merge to those.

[2] https://docs.gitlab.com/ee/user/permissions.html
[3] https://docs.gitlab.com/ee/user/project/protected_branches.html

Currently the Breathe repository is under Sebastian's namespace[4]. For the
above workflow to work the repository would ideally be owned by the actual
uploader/sponsor or possibly the python team[5]? That way it is ensured that
the main branches contain finalised and reviewed work.

[4] https://salsa.debian.org/sramacher/breathe
[5] https://salsa.debian.org/python-team/packages

Mostly just writing some ideas down above, hopefully it is somewhat relevant.
Perhaps a starting point would be to fork the project inside my personal
namespace on Salsa and create a merge request internally there for reviewing?

Indeed somewhat inconsistent. I also found a reference to a WNPP page[6] that
seems to be intended as a redirect to devel/wnpp but also provides some
information, but here too ITA is missing.

This package estimates tumor purity, copy number, and loss of
heterozygosity (LOH), and classifies single nucleotide variants (SNVs) by
somatic status and clonality. PureCN is designed for targeted short read
sequencing data, integrates well with standard somatic variant detection
and copy number pipelines, and has support for tumor samples without
 matching normal samples.

  Description : NETCONF protocol library

NETCONF library in C intended for building NETCONF clients and servers. NETCONF
is the NETwork CONFiguration protocol introduced by IETF.
 .
libnetconf2 is a NETCONF library in C handling NETCONF authentication and all
NETCONF RPC communication both server and client-side. Note that NETCONF
datastore implementation is not a part of this library. The library supports
both NETCONF 1.0 (RFC 4741) as well as NETCONF 1.1 (RFC 6241). The main
 features include:
 .
  * NETCONF over SSH (RFC 4742, RFC 6242), using libssh.
  * NETCONF over TLS (RFC 7589), using OpenSSL.
  * DNSSEC SSH Key Fingerprints (RFC 4255)
  * NETCONF over pre-established transport sessions (using this mechanism the
communication can be tunneled through sshd(8), for instance).
  * NETCONF Call Home (RFC 8071).
  * NETCONF Event Notifications (RFC 5277),

Bug#976727: ITP: libpdb-redo -- Library containing shared code for the various programs in project PDB-REDO

2020-12-07 Thread Maarten L. Hekkelman
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: "Maarten L. Hekkelman"

* Package name: libpdb-redo
  Version : 1.0.0
Upstream Author : Maarten L. Hekkelman
* URL : https://github.com/PDB-REDO/libpdb-redo
* License : BSD-2-Clause
  Programming Lang: C++
Description : Library containing shared code for the various programs in
project PDB-REDO

For the PDB-REDO project, a lot of programs have been created over time. Many
of these application share common routines and these are combined in this
particular library. The PDB-REDO tools that are of general interest will follow
as separate Debian packages.

About PDB-REDO:

PDB-REDO is a procedure to optimise crystallographic structure models,
providing algorithms that make a fully automated decision making system for
refinement, rebuilding and validation. It combines popular crystallographic
software from CCP4, e.g. REFMAC and COOT, with with our specially developed
rebuilding tools Centrifuge, Pepflip & SideAide and structure analysis tools
like WHAT IF and PDB-care. PDB-REDO optimises refinement settings (e.g.
geometric and B-factor restraint weights, B-factor model, TLS groups, NCS and
homology restraints), refines with REFMAC, partially rebuilds the structure
(rejects waters, refines side chains, checks peptide planes), refines some
more, and then validates the results.

With PDB-REDO you can obtain updated and optimised versions of existing entries
of the PDB from our DataBank, or you can optimise your own structure model
using our Server. If you want to know more or install PDB-REDO on your own
computers, please check below.

Yeah, I noticed and merged the bugs... and then bartm@ promptly closed it
for being a duplicate ITP (closing the original in the process) xD

Anyway, this is tidied up now, and I'm looking at the corresponding RFS bug.
Thanks for the poke anyhow <3

Bug#976710: O: z-push - open source implementation of the ActiveSync protocol

2020-12-07 Thread Carsten Schoenert
Package: wnpp
Severity: normal
X-Debbugs-Cc: r...@1afa.com

I (as part of the pkg-giraffe team) intent to orphan src:z-push.

I don't have the time to maintain this package any longer or providing
package uploads.

>From src:z-push are various binary packages build. These binary packages
are useful for interaction of multi platform ActiveSync devices with any
groupware. One of the mainly used back ends is Kopano.

Maintenance if z-push isn't difficult nor costs a lot of time, but
requires some knowledge about the interaction to the possible back ends.

The current state of the package is that the version in Debian is quite
up to date.

The pkg-giraffe-team is happy to offer help and guidance for interested
people which want to work on z-push within Debian.

Regards
Carsten

Bug#976708: O: kopano-webapp - WebApp for the Kopano Collaboration Platform

2020-12-07 Thread Carsten Schoenert
Package: wnpp
Severity: normal
X-Debbugs-Cc: j.vander...@kopano.com

I (as part of the pkg-giraffe team) intent to orphan src:kopano-webapp.

Guido and myself unfortunately doesn't have enough free time to maintain
this package any longer.
kopano-webapp is building various binary packages so users of kopano-core can
access
their groupware account through a web browser. The main webapp is based
on PHP and Javascript libraries. There are additional binary packages
for integration of kopano-webapp within the various possible web
servers.

kopano-webapp is depending kopano-contacts and php-mapi from
src:kopanocore and is recommending kopano-server for interaction with
the back end.
The package itself is more or less up to date and not difficult to
maintain, but it's features are depending on newer versions of php-mapi
which is build by kopanocore.
Ther are some smaller outstanding issues which are reported to the BTS.

The pkg-giraffe-team is happy to offer help and guidance for interested
people which want to work on kopano-webapp within Debian.

Regards
Carsten

Bug#976709: O: kopano-webapp-plugins-files - Kopano WebApp plugin for managing attachments

2020-12-07 Thread Carsten Schoenert
Package: wnpp
Severity: normal
X-Debbugs-Cc: j.vander...@kopano.com

I (as part of the pkg-giraffe team) intent to orphan src:kopano-webapp.

I don't have the time to maintain this package any longer.

kopano-webapp-files, which is the only binary package build up from
kopano-webapp-plugins-files, is depending from kopano-webapp.
Maintenance isn't difficult and rather straight forward.

The pkg-giraffe-team is happy to offer help and guidance for interested
people which want to work on kopano-webapp-plugin-files within Debian.

Regards
Carsten

Bug#976707: O: kopanocore - Complete and feature rich groupware solution

2020-12-07 Thread Carsten Schoenert
Package: wnpp
Severity: normal
X-Debbugs-Cc: s.eisenm...@kopano.com

I (as part of the pkg-giraffe team) intent to orphan src:kopanocore.

Guido and myself unfortunately doesn't have enough free time to maintain
this package any longer.
kopanocore is an more complex package and is building a lot of related
binary packages. This package also has a very frequent upstream activity
due it's ongoing development. Unfortunately there isn't some upstream
LTS strategy for kopanocore and that makes it hard to provide some
useful care and updates (if required) for the Debian stable release. At
least this hasn't worked well for the release cycle of Debian Buster and
we expect this will also come true for the next stable release of
Debian, so the pkg-giraffe-team don't want to see kopanocore within
Debian Bulleseye.

Also upstream is now providing some new extra binary stuff around
kopanocore which is based on technologies that the pkg-giraffe team isn't
able to manage. Upstream is building things based on the Go language
e.g.

The pkg-giraffe-team is happy to offer help and guidance for interested
people which want to work on kopanocore (and also on related packages)
within Debian.

Regards
Carsten

The Go ecosystem is moving to Go modules, why do we still want this
