No, armel was just used for the initial upload, the Debian build daemons
will take care of the rest, current status is at[1]. So unless you intend to
use this package on kfreebsd, you'll be fine.

Description : Generate package documentation from metadata

DocKnot is a system for generating consistent human-readable software
package documentation from metadata files and templates. The metadata
is in YAML. The goal is to generate both web pages and distributed
documentation files (such as README) from the same source, using templates
for consistency across multiple packages.

I'm currently probably the only user, but since I'm starting to
standardize on DocKnot to generate some of the package documentation for
the packages for which I'm upstream, I'm uploading it to Debian since it's
part of the complete toolchain for building those packages from source.

Description : encodes and decoded complex data structures for use
in URI's

The world of the web works off of URI's. The Query string portion of
URIs already support encoding of key/value paired data - they just don't
natively allow for complex data structures.

There are modules or encodings that do support arbitrarily complex data
structures. JSON, YAML and Data::Dumper all have their own way of
encoding complex structures. But then to pass them across the web, you
usually still have to URL encode them and pass them via a form parameter.

Data::URIEncode allows for encoding and decoding complex (multi level)
data structures using native Query String manipulators (such as CGI.pm).
It takes complex data and turns it into a flat hashref which can then be
turned into a URI query string using URL encoding. It also takes a flat
hashref of data passed in and translates it back to a complex structure.

I intent to work with the Perl team to get this under their umbrella,
but I haven't discussed that yet. My ultimate goal is to package
Logitech Squeezebox, however, there's a couple of hurdles first.

Paul

Packaging TruFont for debian may need the creation/inclusion of
several other python3 font-related libraries, as found in
requirements.txt of the source code, which currently contains:

No problem at all, thanks for your work on dbus!

I think it's fine as an optional package that users have to opt-in
for. Nothing depends on it, so it won't be installed by default
anywhere. Also there's no config to do to switch - install or
uninstall.

Also there's no difference to what Fedora shipped for a couple of
years now - we got no patches, special build flags or anything. So
it's good enough to be in bullseye in my view.

The only thing to sort out is maintainership - you mentioned you
wished to have it in the team, and I'm perfectly fine with it - if
that's still what you want to do, and you could please invite to the
Salsa section, I can do the rest.

Thanks!

Kind regards,
Luca Boccassi

Reviewing, testing and uploading that is on my list, but it isn't a
short list and contains other things that are time-sensitive, so dbus
has had to wait. I had hoped to have a dbus 1.14.x stable-branch by now,
but at this point bullseye is going to be on 1.12.x.

What deadlines did you have in mind? Are you intending to offer this as a
"first-class citizen" option in bullseye? When dbus-broker has only been
in the archive for two days, that doesn't seem like very much testing
to have confidence that it will be suitable to provide important system
services through the 3 year lifetime of bullseye.

Bug#979702: RFP: cri-o -- Lightweight container runtime for Kubernetes

2021-01-10 Thread Emmanuel Kasper
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

* Package name: cri-o
  Version : 1.20
  Upstream Author : Multiple Authors
* URL : https://cri-o.io/
* License : Apache 2.0
  Programming Lang: Golang
Description : Lightweight container runtime for Kubernetes

cri-o provides an alternate runtime to containerd to run pods and containers in
Kubernetes.
cri-o provides the following avantages:
- lightweight, specifically target to kubernetes, so it has a clear
compatibility matrix with k8s
- uses systemd by default as cgroup driver instead of cgroupfs, which is a
better choice than
cgroupfs when the init system is systemd (see
https://kubernetes.io/docs/setup/production-environment/container-runtimes/#cgroup-drivers)

FWIW cri-o is used as container runtime in the Suse and Red Hat Kubernetes
offerings.

Upstream expressed interessed to have cri-o package in Debian, but in the end
provided its own package
on the OpenSuse Build Service (having to unvendor the dependencies being the
challenge)

control: retitle -1 ITP: gitlab-labkit

Hi! all,

I'm renaming 'golang-gitlab-gitlab-org-labkit' package to
'gitlab-labkit', to make things consistent with other Go based Gitlab's
packages [1].

Hi Tony,

Thank you very much for your offer but strawberry is already sponsored and
waiting in the NEW queue now. So hopefully it will be accepted very soon.

I should have mention the ongoing review/sponsoring here, I'm sorry about that.

Cheers,
Thomas
