Bug#985147: ITP: foxyproxy-firefox-extension -- advanced proxy management

2021-03-13 Thread Daniel Baumann
Package: wnpp

  * Package name : foxyproxy-firefox-extension
  * Upstream Author : Eric H. Jung
  * License : GPL-2
  * Homepage : https://github.com/foxyproxy/firefox-extension

(quoting from readme, not going to be the package description)

The FoxyProxy extension has been around for almost 15 years as of 2019.
It has been rewritten several times and is still maintained by the
original developer, Eric H. Jung, with large contributions by others
(e.g. erosman, Jesper Hansen, Georg Koppen, and others). As of
2019/2020, ericjung and erosman are primary developers.

Originally for Firefox, a Chrome edition was released years ago as well.
It does not share the same codebase (yet), so this project is strictly
for the Firefox edition. We hope they will share the same codebase
sometime in 2020.

Daniel

Bug#985165: O: python-jenkinsapi -- bindings for Python usage of the Jenkins remote API

2021-03-13 Thread Al Stone
Package: wnpp
Severity: normal
Control: affects -1 src:python-jenkinsapi

I intend to orphan the python-jenkinsapi package. I no longer use it
nor have a need for it; hopefully, someone else does.

The package description is:
 Jenkins is the market leading continuous integration system, originally
 created by Kohsuke Kawaguchi. This API makes Jenkins even easier to use
 by providing an easy to use conventional Python interface.
 .
 Jenkins (and its predecessor Hudson) are useful projects for automating
 common development tasks (e.g., unit-testing, production batches) - but
 they are somewhat Java-centric. Thankfully the designers have provided
 an excellent and complete REST interface. This library wraps up that
 interface as more conventional Python objects in order to make most
 Jenkins-oriented tasks simpler.

Bug#985170: RFP: libsdl1.2-compat -- SDL 1.2 binary compatibility library wrapping SDL 2.0

2021-03-13 Thread Guillem Jover
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
X-Debbugs-Cc: pkg-sdl-maintain...@lists.alioth.debian.org,
debian-devel-ga...@lists.debian.org

* Package name: libsdl1.2-compat
  Version : 0.0~git
  Upstream Author : Ryan C. Gordon
* URL : https://github.com/libsdl-org/sdl12-compat
* License : zlib/libpng
  Programming Lang: C
  Description : SDL 1.2 binary compatibility library wrapping SDL 2.0

This code is a compatibility layer; it provides a binary-compatible API for
programs written against SDL 1.2, but it uses SDL 2.0 behind the scenes. If
you are writing new code, please target SDL 2.0 directly and do not use this
layer.

I've recently retried switching to Wayland and I think I'm sticking
with it. But while checking for toolkits support, noticed that SDL 1.2
does not have native Wayland support, but SDL 2.0 does.

Unfortunately we have quite many packages still using SDL 1.2, and while
I think I'll start porting them one by one (when time permits), it still
would be nice to get this wrapper packaged so that we can get immediate
results and can stop depending on Xwayland for most of the packages in
Debian.

Thanks,
Guillem

Great, thanks a lot! I have joined the tracker team for qalculate, and
pushed the debian/bullseye branch which contains the last NMU currently
in unstable and testing.

Phil, what about the following
Maintainer: team+qalcul...@tracker.debian.org
Uploaders: Phil Morrell ,
Norbert Preining
I am happy to help out since we need it for cantor.

It might be a good idea to upload both packages to unstable with fixed
maintainer entry so that bugs in stable will not go forever to Vincent.

WDYT?

2021-03-13 Thread Haelwenn (lanodan) Monnier
Hi,

gentoo&alpine contributor that saw this bug on IRC so not a debian point of
view but a warning:

As seen in [1] regarding the headers, sdl12-compat isn't a full replacement yet.

It could work for pure binary-compatibility but you can't build anything
against it yet so it should be a Provide+Replace rather than something like a
newer version.

Eternal Terminal (ET) is a remote shell that automatically reconnects without

ET is used by tens of thousands of developers worldwide as a replacement for

ET is already in Fedora and other package managers. I maintain it myself and
have automated much of the release process using docker and vagrant. FreeBSD,
