Bug#979400: Bug#979807: RFS: drs/5.0.5-1 [ITP] -- DRS4 Evaluation Board software

Looks like both the board and the chips themselves can be purchased by anyone, I presume that the physics department of ETH Zurich (see the submitter's email) has purchased them and is using them in their own experiments and is also using Debian and wants to use Debian packages of the software. http://phys.ethz.ch/ -- bye, pabs https://wiki.debian.org/PaulWise

Bug#989336: ITP: matrix-sydent -- Matrix reference identity server
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: Mike Gabriel X-Debbugs-Cc: debian-de...@lists.debian.org, pkg-matrix-maintain...@lists.alioth.debian.org * Package name: matrix-sydent Version : 2.3.0 Upstream Author : Richard van der Hoff * URL : https://github.com/matrix-org/sydent/ * License : Apache-2.0 Programming Lang: Python Description : Matrix reference identity server Sydent is a reference implementation of the Matrix Identity Server API in Python, supporting: . - Validation of 3PIDs (email and MSISDNs) for signup and discovery - Binding of 3PIDs to MXIDs (for discovery) - Lookup of 3PIDs to MXIDs - Storing unresolved 3PID invites. - Replication of assertions across a closed federation. . Instances currently run at matrix.org and vector.im; meanwhile others are free to run their own but they will not be able to participate in the global directory lookup table. . N.B. use of the Identity Server API is stricly optional in Matrix - it's only used to resolve 3PIDs to MXIDs. . Matrix is an open standard for interoperable, decentralised, real-time communication over IP. It can be used to power Instant Messaging, VoIP/WebRTC signalling, Internet of Things communication or anywhere where's a need for a standard HTTP API for publishing and subscribing to data whilst tracking the conversation history. . In Matrix, every user runs one or more Matrix clients, which connect through to a Matrix homeserver. The homeserver stores all their personal chat history and user account information, much as a mail client connects through to an IMAP/SMTP server. . This package will be maintained under the umbrella of the Matrix Packaging Team.

Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: Francisco M Neto X-Debbugs-Cc: debian-de...@lists.debian.org, fmn...@fmneto.com * Package name: elementary-planner Version : 2.6.9 Upstream Author : Alain M. * URL : http://useplanner.com/ * License : GPL-3.0 Programming Lang: Vala Description : Task manager with Todoist support This application is an activity manager that includes a TO-DO list, categorization of tasks within sections, full-featured tasks (with notes, URLs, deadlines and labels) and calendar support. It also has support for integration with online management tool Todoist. - It implements a to-do list but with extensive support for related features such as time management and calendar. Well, this is not about callisto. So no need to pull this strawman. Ack. In Debian we do not (and cannot) package every piece of software, this is not the defintiion of "universal operating system". Bug#979400: RFS: drs/5.0.5-1 [ITP] -- DRS4 Evaluation Board software
Hi Tobias, this seems to be a quite specific software for some quite specific evaluation board… Indeed the software is only useful with this hardware: https://www.radec.ch/shop It seems a bit out-of-scope for Debian to carry such specialized software? I would disagree, if people can buy the device, and just install the software with apt, it's a win. I have several users with several computers and such boards. They are glad to use apt. Bug#989330: ITP: golang-github-alecthomas-participle -- parser library for Go (library)
Package: wnpp Owner: Andrius Merkys Severity: wishlist * Package name: golang-github-alecthomas-participle Version : 0.3.0 Upstream Author : Alec Thomas * URL : https://github.com/alecthomas/participle * License : Expat Programming Lang: Golang Description : parser library for Go (library) The goal of this package is to provide a simple, idiomatic and elegant way of defining parsers in Go. . Participle's method of defining grammars should be familiar to any Go programmer who has used the encoding/json package: struct field tags define what and how input is mapped to those same fields. This is not unusual for Go encoders, but is unusual for a parser. . Participle parsers are LL(k). Among other things, this means that they do not support left recursion. . The default value of K is 1 but this can be controlled with participle.UseLookahead(k). . Left recursion must be eliminated by restructuring your grammar. golang-github-skeema-mybase is required by skeema, which I am interested to bringing in Debian. I am intentionally packaging not the newest upstream release (2.0.0-alpha6 at the moment) as skeema does not seem to be compatible with them. Remark: This package is to be maintained with Debian Go Packaging Team at https://salsa.debian.org/go-team/packages/golang-github-alecthomas-participle
