Bug#990388: ITP: jiten-nonfree-data -- non-free pitch & audio data for Jiten Japanese Dictionary

Severity: wishlist

* Package name: jiten-nonfree-data

Upstream Author : Felix C. Stegerman
* URL : https://github.com/obfusk/jiten
* License : CC-BY-NC (audio) + Wadoku.de-Daten-Lizenz (pitch)
Description : non-free pitch & audio data for Jiten Japanese Dictionary

Non-free data files for Jiten Japanese Dictionary.

These files are optional, so the jiten and jiten-data packages should
be able to go into main, whereas the jiten-audio and jiten-pitch
packages go into non-free.

I've already packaged it for Debian [1], but I need a sponsor and
could use some advice on how best to deal with some of the remaining
complaints from lintian :)

Dependencies not yet in Debian: jiten [2], (transitively) kanjidraw [3].

The pitch data is licensed under the Wadoku.de-Daten-Lizenz [4].

Description : Ringdove 2D CAD library framework

The upstream developer of the pcb-rnd, the printed circuit board tool in
the "Ringdove" tool suite, has re-factored the code to deliver a standalone
shared library containing many core functions, which will also be used by
additional applications soon to be released.

As the primary maintainer of pcb-rnd within the Debian Electronics team,
I anticipate maintaining this package and others to come in the Ringdove
suite similarly to the way pcb-rnd is currently maintained.

Bug#927076: xournalpp packaging in Debian: how can we help?

2021-06-27 Thread Barak A. Pearlmutter
There is a pristine-tar branch on both salsa and my GitHub fork repo
barak/...

Bug#927076: xournalpp packaging in Debian: how can we help?

2021-06-27 Thread Martin Quinson
Ok, the pipeline is launched. Thanks for the invitation ;)

I would not say that I'm very involved, actually. If I can help, I'm glad, but
if I don't have to, I'm happy :)
If you have difficulties with something, drop me an email.

As for the pipeline, it failed, because it seems that there is no pristine-tar
branch in the git. I thought that you were using git-buildpackage, but maybe
I'm wrong?

Bug#927076: xournalpp packaging in Debian: how can we help?

2021-06-27 Thread Barak A. Pearlmutter
Sure, always happy for help. Please do!

Would you like to take the package, or co-maintain, team-maintain,
whatever it's called nowadays?
I was using it for teaching, whereas you seem much more involved.

Bug#927076: xournalpp packaging in Debian: how can we help?

2021-06-27 Thread Martin Quinson
Thanks for the update (and for all the work).

Is it OK if I change what needs to be so that the package gets automatically
built on salsa's CI, with lintian and everything launched on it?
(I'm a DD so I have the technical right to do so, but I'm asking for your
permission anyway)

Thanks, Mt.

Shutter 0.97 fixes several regressions which have been introduced by the
GTK3 port in the 0.96 release. I guess it can be packaged now!

Bug#927076: xournalpp packaging in Debian: how can we help?

2021-06-27 Thread Barak A. Pearlmutter
Yeah, I think right now it's in good shape. I'm waiting for an
official upstream release, at which point I'll upload.
Since it's not in Debian right now, there's no reason to hold off
until after the Debian release. (If there were I'd upload to
Debian/experimental.)

I've been tracking the upstream repo, so I should be able to just hit
the button.

Cheers,

--Barak.
