Dear Alastair and Magnus,
I have update the package on my fork [1].
I have temporary removed the -doc package because it not buildable at
the moment due to #995299 [2].
We can re-add the -doc package in a future version if necessary.
I have also updated the package to the latest upstream version 0.7.1.

@Magnus please let me know if you prefer me to push directly on the
debian-science repository or to submit a merge request.

Hi Magnus

I downloaded and reviewed the package.

As it currently stands it needs some work to deal with privacy
issues
(The lintian tests). Basically sphinxdocs is adding links to
cloudflare
etc that leak user information.

You can look at "python-xarray" to see some solutions - some can be
fixed with a patch to the sphinxdocs configuration, some needs
editing
of the html files in debian/rules to use javascript helpers that
you
depend-on with the package.

Best regards

Alastair

Description : implementation of 170+ CRC algorithms in Python

crccheck is a Python module that implements more than 170 CRC algorithms
used in various applications. A few examples include:

CRC-5/USB, CRC-14/GSM, CRC-16/MODBUS, CRC-24/OPENPGP, PKZIP, CRC-32

A catalogue can be found at http://reveng.sourceforge.net/crc-catalogue/.

Packaging crccheck is a prerequisite for other Python modules notably
chepy and zigpy. I've already packaged it and am attaching my work.

Bug#998452: ITP: check-mk-agent -- general purpose monitoring plugin for retrieving data

2021-11-04 Thread Juri Grabowski

Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

* Package name: check-mk-agent
  Version : 2.0.0p14.dfsg
  Upstream Author : tribe29 GmbH
* URL : https://checkmk.com
* License : GPL2+
  Programming Lang: shell, python
Description : general purpose monitoring plugin for retrieving data

Check_mk adopts a new a approach for collecting data from operating systems
and network components. It obsoletes NRPE, check_by_ssh, NSClient and
check_snmp. It has many benefits, the most important of which are:
  * Significant reduction of CPU usage on the monitoring host.
  * Automatic inventory of items to be checked on hosts.

Using this package for a long time and was packaging it just for me.
It would be nice to have it in debian, without configuring extra
repository. It would be nice to have check-mk-agent-team on salsa, where
we can maintain it. On MDC in Regensburg I hear that a lot of people
using it and I have found a sponsor.
Co-maintainers are always welcome. Maybe later it would be nice to
package more check-mk-agent plugins from check-mk exchange.

Best Regards,
Juri Grabowski

Bug#887142: Status of node-nock

2021-11-04 Thread Andrius Merkys
Hello,

I found this ITP for node-nock [1] from some three years ago. Packaging
is on salsa [2] and as well seems to be untouched for some time. It does
not seem that the package was ever uploaded. Maybe there were some
problems with it at the time?

Now I need node-nock to run tests for node-wikibase-edit. I have
packaged it locally. Would it be OK if I continue working on node-nock
in its repository on salsa [2] and upload when done?
