I use sfeed for processing RSS and Atom feeds in scripts (videos of my sfeed-powered Telex-style ticker tape available upon request!) The conversion to email (mbox) format to read in an email client can be very useful, as email clients have features that are not typically found in feedreaders, such as being able to forward items on to others. sfeed has already been packaged for a number of other distributions (notably Alpine Linux, FreeBSD, NetBSD and OpenBSD). I'd like to maintain this package - it's pretty small, so I think I would be able to maintain it alone. However, I am not a Debian Maintainer, so I'll be requesting sponsorship in due course!
