Bug#1007108: Fwd: ITP: qpwgraph -- User interface for controlling the PipeWire Graph
Hi Chris, Thanks for your packaging! I had a look at it and of course it is good, nothing that could prevent me to upload it. Just to nitpick: - salsa-ci.yml is not needed anymore as we can directly use the config file from the salsa team: > https://salsa.debian.org/salsa-ci-team/pipeline/blob/master/README.md#basic-use - If you plan to maintain this package under the umbrella of the Debian Multimedia Team, you need to move the git repo under the team namespace and update the d/control fields accordingly. Just created a repo for you: > salsa.debian.org:multimedia-team/qpwgraph.git - Is there a specific reason to target the upstream dev website instead of the gitlab repo in the d/watch file? I guess he can forget to update it contrary to its gitlab repo. - The history of your master and upstream branches is uncommon, I think you cloned the upstream repo and then imported the upstream tarball with gbp? It would be cleaner to just create these branches using gbp import-orig. Best, Dylan

Bug#1007123: ITP: keyman/15.0.211-2 -- Type in your language with Keyman for Linux (consolidated source package)
Package: wnpp Severity: normal X-Debbugs-CC: debian-input-met...@lists.debian.org Hi, I'm not sure what the process is - someone suggested I should submit a ITP bug for the consolidated source package. Here's the deal: Up until now the upstream Keyman project (https://github.com/keymanapp/keyman) created three source packages from one git repo: * *keyman-config* that build the binary packages *keyman* and *python3-keyman-config* * *ibus-keyman* that build the binary package *ibus-keyman* * *keyman-keyboardprocessor* that build the binary packages *libkmnkbp-dev* and *libkmnkbp0-0* (it also created three additional source packages for the older KMFL (kmflcomp, libkmfl, and ibus-kmfl), but those are no longer actively developed and won't be included in future releases) Starting with Keyman 15 the three source packages got consolidate into one source package named *keyman* that builds the binary packages listed above. I'm not sure if this is considered a new package that needs to go through the entire workflow for a new package, or if that's simply considered the successor of the three older source packages. Please advice. Anyways, I uploaded the new source package to mentors.debian.net. * Package name : keyman Version : 15.0.211-2 Upstream Author : Keyman team * URL : https://www.keyman.com * License : GPL-3+, MIT, GPL-2+ or MIT, GPL-2+ * Vcs : https://github.com/keymanapp/keyman Section : text It builds those binary packages: keyman - Type in your language with Keyman for Linux python3-keyman-config - Keyman for Linux configuration libkmnkbp-dev - Development files for Keyman keyboard processing library libkmnkbp0-0 - Keyman keyboard processing library ibus-keyman - Keyman engine for IBus To access further information about this package, please visit the following URL: https://mentors.debian.net/package/keyman/ Alternatively, one can download the package with dget using this command: dget -x https://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/k/keyman/keyman_15.0.211-2.dsc Changes since the last upload: keyman (15.0.211-2) experimental; urgency=medium . * Consolidate source packages * New upstream release * Re-release to Debian Thanks, Eberhard OpenPGP_0xE9140597606020D3.asc Description: OpenPGP public key OpenPGP_signature Description: OpenPGP digital signature

Bug#1007107: ITP: pytz-deprecation-shim -- Shims to help you safely remove pytz
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: Edward Betts X-Debbugs-Cc: debian-de...@lists.debian.org, debian-pyt...@lists.debian.org * Package name: pytz-deprecation-shim Version : 0.1.0.post0 Upstream Author : Paul Ganssle * URL : https://github.com/pganssle/pytz-deprecation-shim * License : Apache 2.0 Programming Lang: Python Description : Shims to help you safely remove pytz pytz has served the Python community well for many years, but it is no longer the best option for providing time zones. pytz has a non-standard interface that is very easy to misuse; this interface was necessary when pytz was created, because datetime had no way to represent ambiguous datetimes, but this was solved in in Python 3.6, which added a fold attribute to datetimes in PEP 495. With the addition of the zoneinfo module in Python 3.9 (PEP 615), there has never been a better time to migrate away from pytz. However, since pytz time zones are used very differently from a standard tzinfo, and many libraries have built pytz zones into their standard time zone interface (and thus may have users relying on the existence of the localize and normalize methods); this library provides shim classes that are compatible with both PEP 495 and pytz's interface, to make it easier for libraries to deprecate pytz. This module is required by the latest version of python-tzlocal. I plan to maintain this package as part of the Python modules team.

Bug#1007102: ITP: r-cran-hardhat -- GNUR R construct modeling packages
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Subject: ITP: r-cran-hardhat -- GNUR R construct modeling packages Package: wnpp Owner: Andreas Tille Severity: wishlist * Package name: r-cran-hardhat Version : 0.2.0 Upstream Author : Davis Vaughan, * URL : https://cran.r-project.org/package=hardhat * License : MIT Programming Lang: GNU R Description : GNUR R construct modeling packages Building modeling packages is hard. A large amount of effort generally goes into providing an implementation for a new method that is efficient, fast, and correct, but often less emphasis is put on the user interface. A good interface requires specialized knowledge about S3 methods and formulas, which the average package developer might not have. The goal of 'hardhat' is to reduce the burden around building new modeling packages by providing functionality for preprocessing, predicting, and validating input.
