While quazip is already packaged in Debian, it's version 0.9.1. The author of quazip has stated that versions 1.x are meant to be used alongside 0.x and not as an upgrade/replacement, like how Qt5 is still packaged alongside Qt6. This package is for versions 1.x of quazip built for Qt5. I'm packaging it at the request of Filippo Rusconi (context below). The creation of update packages for swupdate is not trivial, which is why swugenerator was created. swugenerator is a tool running on host to create and modify SWUpdate's Update files (SWU). SWU files contain a meta description of the release (sw-description), and swugenerator adds components to a template passed from command line. It is goal of the tool to fill the gap with Yocto/OE, where SWU generation is done by classes in the meta-swupdate layer but Debian has no tools to create a SWU. The tool signs the SWU and can encrypt the artifacts. The tool parses the libconf based sw-description. --- End Message --- --- Begin Message --- Source: swugenerator Source-Version: 0.0~git20220928.eba6200-1 Done: Bastian Germann We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of swugenerator, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive. Specifically, the preview-latex feature no longer works due to changes in ghostscript, which is solved in upstream. The relevant bug #896844 was filed in Apr 2018, the maintainer said "I'll work on it" and nothing ever happened since, depite numerous follow-ups to the bug. I tried to contact him directly in early 2020, getting no useful reply, except that he considers that he is still maintaining the package. I am not a Debian developper, but am able to package (in fact I have packaged auctex v12 for personal use). What should / can be done in this case ? Cheers, Itaï --- End Message --- --- Begin Message --- The requested version is in the archive for 2 years at this point.--- End Message ---
