Bug#908868: Want to help for upgrading docker.io package

2024-04-29 Thread Prusty, Badrikesh
Hello,

I am Badrikesh Prusty and wanted to help upgrading the docker.io package.

With the Debian packaging knowledge, I tried packaging docker.io v26.0.1 and
its dependency components such as containerd, runc, etc.

When we tried installing this on Debian 11 and 12, docker and its components
seems to work normally.

Kindly, provide further information on how the docker packages are validated,
before it is pushed to apt repository.

Thanks & Regards,
Badrikesh Prusty

Bug#1002056: ITP: zlib-ng -- optimized zlib compression library

2024-04-29 Thread David Heidelberg

Hello,

I think it already makes sense to push zlib-ng and let it co-exist with
zlib since you can port your software directly to the zlib-ng, which I'm
currently doing for Mesa3D.

I dropped the zlib-ng sources into https://salsa.debian.org/dh/zlib-ng
feel free to force push there any Debian relevant changes.

After introducing the zlib-ng, we could continue to the second phase
migrating software still relying on zlib to zlib-ng compat layer.

What do you think?

David

Bug#1070096: ITP: emacs-cfrs -- Child-frame based read-string for Emacs

2024-04-29 Thread Xiyue Deng
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: Xiyue Deng

* Package name: emacs-cfrs
  Version : 1.6.0
  Upstream Author : Alexander Miller
* URL or Web page : https://github.com/Alexander-Miller/cfrs
* License : GPL-3+
  Programming lang: Emacs Lisp
  Description : Child-frame based read-string for Emacs
cfrs.el is a simple alternative to `read-string' that allows reading
input via a small child-frame spawned at the position of the
cursor. Its goal is to make the string input interface closer to those
used in modern GUI programs and to help the user with having to switch
focus from whatever they are doing currently to look at the minibuffer.

This is a dependency of newer Emacs treemacs versions. I intend to
maintain this package within the Debian Emacsen team
.

Bug#1058645: Do you need help with this package?

2024-04-29 Thread Miguel Landaeta
I apologize for dropping the ball on this one.

I just uploaded qbe to the archive and it's now waiting for NEW processing.

https://ftp-master.debian.org/new/qbe_1.2-1.html

The next step for me here is to get back to this bug report soon with
a link to the salsa repo for hare so other folks can take a look,
provide feedback and get this package uploaded in a reasonable time
frame.

I'll double check what's pending. Luckily these packages should be
very straightforward. I remember one concern from one of the
co-maintainers about maybe introducing a separate package for harec
and I think I also spotted a directory in the binary package that
could be not compliant with the Debian policy and the expected
filesystem layout.

However, those issues should be quick to sort, I hope. I'll check
what's up and post an update on the hare ITP bug (#1058645) soon.

Bug#956194: streamlit status

2024-04-29 Thread Andrius Merkys

Hello,

Is anybody still interested in streamlit? Some time ago I packaged its
dependency node-xxhashjs and ended up maintaining it. I do not use
node-xxhashjs myself and would like to pass its maintenance to people
interested in streamlit.

Bug#1055748: taking over maintainance of swugenerator & python-libconf

2024-04-29 Thread Christopher Obbard
Hi Bastian,

I'm interested in taking over the long-term maintenance of swugenerator (&
dependant package python-libconf).

I will kick this off by importing version 0.4 of swugenerator & backporting to
bookworm-backports (I have a need to use the latest version in debian stable).

Can you please give me access (obbardc on salsa) to the package repository on
salsa ?

Thank you !

Chris
