Description : Perl Gtk2 widget for displaying Plain old Documentation
 (POD)

This module provides a Gtk2 widget for rendering Perl POD documents.

It also provides the example script podviewer, which can be used to
 browse your local Perl Documentation.

If POD is the abbreviation, then most likely the instance of old in
Plain old Documentation should be capitalized.

Why is it not?

I believe that capitalizing xmms as XMMS and properly hyphenating
plugin as plug-in would be best. :)

Bug#165500: Removal of Package g5

2004-02-26 Thread Alexander Winston
I hereby suggest that the package named g5 be removed from the Debian
archive. I previously considered adopting this orphaned package and
bringing it back from the dead, but now I wish to just let it rest in
peace. :)

The package depends on libgtk1.2 and the upstream sources have
disappeared. Many better alternatives exist, the most notable being
gnome-games, which contains Gnect, a four-in-a-row game a lot like G5.
It is built with GNOME 2, has an improved user interface with graphics,
user documentation, and is actively maintained.

The applicable bug report for g5 is at http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/
bugreport.cgi?bug=165500.

Thank you!

BIO Spip is a set of skeleton for SPIP, designed to be clear, easyly
useable, and quickly ready to use. A simple left menu, and a predefined
set of customizable colors. Simple, but ready to use with a whole set of
 browsers.

I would spell useable as usable and easyly should be spelled as
easily.

I suggest capitalizing python in written entirely in python,
changing instances of GTK to GTK+, and lowercasing Client in the
synopsis line.

Bug#225585: ITP: ac3jack -- realtime AC3 stream encoder for JACK

   Package name: ac3jack
   Version : 0.1.0-1
Upstream Author : Jesse Chappell [EMAIL PROTECTED]
   URL : http://essej.net/ac3jack/
   License : GPL
Description : realtime AC3 stream encoder for JACK

ac3jack is a tool for creating an AC3 (Dolby Digital) multichannel
stream from its JACK input ports. Using this tool, an AC3 stream (up
to 5.1 channels) is created in realtime and either written to a file or
  streamed to standard output.
  .
When streamed to stdout and piped through the ALSA tool ac3dec -C,
the AC3 stream can be passed out the SPDIF port on your audio interface
for connection to a multichannel surround receiver. In this way, you
can achieve full 5.1 surround mixing and monitoring of your JACK
applications with a single digital cable, and no need for hardware
  supporting discrete outputs and inputs.
  .
AC3 is a compressed audio stream, so quality will suffer somewhat, but
it is the price you pay for easy surround sound.
  .
JACK is a low-latency sound server. JACK allows the connection of multiple
applications to an audio device, as well as allowing them to share audio
between themselves. ac3jack also supports the features of the JACK
  transport extension.
  .
Further information can be found at
  http://essej.net/ac3jack/.

Here are my suggestions:

* Change AC3 to AC-3, which is the way that Dolby Laboratories Inc.
punctuates its technology.
* Change the first instance of realtime to real-time, and change
the second instance to real time.
* Enclose the URI at the bottom in angle brackets as discussed in
RFC 2396, Appendix E.
