Bug#615247: RFA: polarssl -- lightweight crypto and SSL/TLS library

2011-02-26 Thread Arnaud Cornet
Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

This is a reasonably low effort maintaining package suitable for wannabe
package maintainers.

I request an adopter for the polarssl package.

The package description is:
 PolarSSL is a fork of the abandonned project XySSL. It is a lean crypto
 library providing SSL and TLS support in your programs. It features:
  - AES, Triple-DES, DES, ARC4, Camellia, XTEA
  - MD2, MD4, MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256, SHA-384, SHA-512
  - HAVEGE random number generator
  - RSA with PKCS#1 v1.5 padding
  - SSLv3 and TLSv1 client support
  - X.509 certificate and CRL reading
 .
 This package contains the static library and the header files.

Bug#615245: RFA: gmpc -- Gnome Music Player Client (graphical interface to MPD)

2011-02-26 Thread Arnaud Cornet
Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

I don't properly maintain this package due to like of time and interest.
Interaction with developers has been as enjoyable as it can possibly be.
They have been super responsive and open to requests. Also, the software
is pretty neat.

Anyone adopting this will want to adopt gmpc-plugins at the same time.

I request an adopter for the gmpc package.

The package description is:
 A GNOME/GTK2.2 client for Music Player Daemon, it began life as traymp,
 a simple tray notification client and has grown into much more.
 Current features include:
  * Support for loading/saving playlists
  * File Browser
  * Browser based on ID3 information
  * Search
  * Current playlist viewer with search
  * ID3 Information
  * Cover art (via plugins)

Bug#615246: RFA: haproxy -- fast and reliable load balancing reverse proxy

2011-02-26 Thread Arnaud Cornet
Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

Due to lack of time and interest I no longer properly maintain this
package.
The main developer is really concerned about having proper stable releases and
allowing to backport bugs. With some time and effort maintaining this is fairly
enjoyable.

I request an adopter for the haproxy package.

The package description is:
 HAProxy is a TCP/HTTP reverse proxy which is particularly suited for high
 availability environments. It features connection persistence through HTTP
 cookies, load balancing, header addition, modification, deletion both ways. It
 has request blocking capabilities and provides interface to display server
 status.

Bug#416397: ITP: haproxy -- fast and reliable load balancing reverse proxy

 How do you preserve the mapping between the origin IP address and the

 For HTTP the easiest solution would be to insert a header with the origin IP
 that could then be logged, does the HTTP header addition/modification
 functionality of HAProxy support this?

X-Forwarded-For is the de-facto standard HTTP header to achieve this.
HAProxy does support this header with forwardfor option.

Cheers,
