retitle 185398 RFP: flac-tools -- A set of tools for playing and manipulating
FLAC audio files
thanks

I had intended to package this for Debian but got discouraged by the
long newmaint process. Changed to RFP.

Description : The alternative traceroute tool for network (reverse)
engineers

FFT is a sort of 'traceroute' that often works much faster (than the
commonly-used Van Jacobson method) and goes through many configurations
of packet-filter based firewalls. It also has numerous other options
including AS number lookups, netblock name lookups, et al.

Rather than launching UDP probes in an attempt to elicit ICMP
TIME_EXCEEDED, FFT accomplishes substantively the same effect using TCP
SYN or FIN probes, listening for both TIME_EXCEEDED messages or TCP_RST
from firewalls or other gateways in the path.

FFT performs a function similar to that of the tcptraceroute package but
has different features. The output is quite different from traceroute
but has abilities which tcptraceroute lacks.

Hi,

There's already a bug opened for webCDwriter, #98594, 1 year and 59 days
old; it's an RFP. Would it not be a better idea to close your ITP bug
and simply retitle the RFP bug already open?

I'll be happy to package this. Hopefully I'll prepare the package and
get the upload done soon. Probably a bit late for woody, though.

2002-03-29 Thread Bill Jonas

Privoxy is a filtering, privacy-enhancing proxy server based on the
original Junkbuster code from Junkbusters Corporation
(http://www.junkbusters.com/). It features updated support for
HTTP/1.1, as well as the classic fine-grained filtering support for
graphics, cookies, pop-ups, content of pages, and access control. It is
especially useful for users on slower connections since it speeds up web
surfing by making it possible to avoid downloading bandwidth-consuming
Flash and banner advertisements.

I am preparing to start the new maintainer process (reading all required

this yet due to advice I have received on the debian-mentors list.
