Bug#580880: O: pgfouine -- PostgreSQL log analyzer

2010-05-09 Thread Clément Stenac
Package: wnpp

Hi,

Due to lack of time, I am giving up pgfouine for adoption. The package is
rather simple, and does not require high maintainance.

Don't hesitate to contact me if you have any question.

Bug#221492: Smile package

2005-10-24 Thread Clément Stenac
Hello,

I am currently doing some housekeeping work on the WNPP database.

In your message, dated September 14th, you stated that the packages were
ready. Do you need a sponsor for them, or is there anything blocking you
?

Thanks,

Bug#294491: Bug#294495: ITA: povray-3.5 -- Persistence of vision raytracer (3D renderer)

2005-10-14 Thread Clément Stenac
Hello,

Since the ITA, there has been quite some problems with this package,
mainly the fact that we had very high delays (like 3 months) with the
alioth project and SVN, and that Joel, who would have sponsored the
packages didn't really answer.

However, packages for povray-3.6 have been ready for quite some time (they
need a rebuild now), and I will upload them ASAP.

As alioth didn't answer, the packages are currently hosted at :
https://svn.diwi.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/packages/povray/?root=debian

We decided (but of course, that can change) to keep the povray dummy
package at the moment, and make it depend on -3.6 | -3.5, so that manual
installation of -3.6 is required, because there has been reports of
incompatibilities of some scenes.

The other solution would be to package povray 3.6 as povray

retitle 88114 ITP : surf -- tool for visualization of algebraic curves and

thanks

Hello,

I would like to package this software.

I contacted upstream, they have no much time for development at the
moment, but are responsibve and willing to fix bugs and interested by
feedback about build problems for example.

However, following upstream's advice, I won't package the GTK interface
which is not really ready.

I am not a Debian developer so I hope someone will help me by checking
and uploading this package.

Bug#211995: ITA of iroffer

2004-08-06 Thread Clément Stenac
Hello,

I'm deeply sorry I didn't answer your mail of Mayb 16th earlier, I had
posted from a wrong e-mail adress so your message basically arrived
nowhere.

I had prepared a new package for iroffer but have not been able to find
a sponsor to check it and eventually upload it.

I've not yet made a package for the newer upstream versions that have
been published since that time. I would be happy to do so, but would
prefer to find someone at least a little interested in that package
first.

Best regards,

Bug#235526: O: spong-common -- A systems and network monitoring system

2004-08-06 Thread Clément Stenac
retitle 235526 ITA: spong -- A systems and network monitoring system
thanks

Hello,

I intend to adopt this package.

I plan to:

- add basic manpages ( there is already some documentation, but in
perldoc, we should have a simple manpage saying that )
- try to fix the many lintian errors
- try to fix as many of the 12 bugs as possible, beginning by the important one
- clean up rules files to use more debhelper scripts
- more if needed

As I am not a DD, I hope I'll be able to find someone to check and maybe
upload the new package.

Spong's upstream is quite dead, but it is surely a very interesting
program that should be looked after

Best regards,

A few details about this ITA.

I packaged the new version of iroffer --

I tried to contact the former maintainer Decklin Foster, but he did not
answer at the moment.

I am currently in the process of finding a sponsor to upload this
package. Please contact me if you are interested.

Bug#171597: About this ITP

2004-02-07 Thread Clément Stenac
Hello,

Following the thread on debian-devel about ITPs.

As Thomas hadn't started to work on this package, I mailed him this
summer to ask if I could do the package, and he answered that it would
not be a problem.

Since then, I packaged the software (mi-August) and from then I several
asked for sponsorship on the debian-mentors mailing-list, but with no
success.

I must say I quite gave up trying to get this package in the archive.

Anyway, the package is here:
http://debian.zorglub.org/packages/arp-sk

It can also be found on mentors.debian.net

Long description:
Arp-sk is a tool that allows you to create custom ARP packets.
You can send who-has or reply packets and customize every
fields. It can be used to check the security of your network.
 .
Arp-sk relies on libnet to generate the packets and must be run
 as root.
 .
The program will in next versions include advanced modes
to automatically do arp pings, detect boxes that sniff
the network, and perform Man in the Middle attack, e.g.
 .
 Author: Frédéric Raynal [EMAIL PROTECTED]
 Homepage: http://www.arp-sk.org/

If someone is willing to sponsor this package and upload it after having
me fix the flaws, I would be very grateful.

Thanks,
