Bug#823548: linux-user-chroot deprecation
l-u-c post: https://mail.gnome.org/archives/ostree-list/2016-May/msg0.html FWIW if any transition scripts are written I'd be happy to have them in l-u-c upstream. I'm as yet unsure whether it's worth doing so, or pushing for dependent consumers to do a hard port. I'm doing the latter with my l-u-c consumers (gnome-continuous, my bashrc). Are there any l-u-c dependencies in the Debian archive?

On Wed, 2003-07-09 at 14:55, Joel Baker wrote: DebPool is a pool-based DEB s/DEB/Debian/ ? package archiver designed with a goal of removing any dependancy on code not shipped as part of the core Debian system. By core here do you mean priority = standard? It is capable of all of the following: * Tracking multiple distributions (however, it does *not* include unstable - testing promotion scripts). * Generating Release files (requires libdigest-{md5,sha1}-perl) * Verifying package signatures (requires gnupg). * Signing release files (requires Release files and gnupg). * Running in single-pass or daemon modes. DebPool is intended to be a lightweight replacement for the full Debian archival scripts, in the tradition of debarchive and mini-dinstall, but using a pool layout How are you implementing this? Do you have some sort of database about which packages are in which distributions? and avoiding external dependancies. This seems like an unfortunate reason to write a whole new program. If the problem is mini-dinstall's dependency on python-logging, I could probably suck it into the package. In any case it'll be standard in Python 2.3 which is why I've been lazy about doing it.

With stunning Graphics better than that of most if not all commercial space simulators, Vega Strike will be a hit for all gamers!!! This is a bad description. The first line of the description should be a full sentence which concisely summarizes the package, and it should not end in a period. The rest of the description could contain fewer excalamation points, and need not mention Linux or Windows (since a Debian user already knows it's available for them). How about this: Description: Interactive flight simulator and real-time strategy game Vega Strike is an interactive 3D OpenGL based flight simulator and real-time strategy game. Its features include stunning graphics, over 100 star systems, sound effects, a programmable AI, and a mission scripting system. . [maybe other stuff here] P.S. please wrap your lines at about 72 columns or so.

Bug#105587: RFP: pcp
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist URL:http://oss.sgi.com/projects/pcp/ From the above URL: Performance Co-Pilot (PCP) is a framework and services to support system-level performance monitoring and performance management. The services offered by PCP are especially attractive for those tackling harder system-level performance problems. For example this may involve a transient performance degradation, or correlating end-user quality of service with platform activity, or diagnosing some complex interaction between resource demands on a single system, or management of performance on large systems with lots of moving parts. The news page mentioned that someone had made Debian packages, but the URL to them was broken. It might be worth looking into trying to find the packager and/or his/her packages. I haven't actually tried this software, but it looks cool, and the stuff from SGI is generally high-quality. There is also a neato looking GTK+ frontend at URL:http://k332.feld.cvut.cz/~lemming/projects/pcpmon.html that looks like it would also be worth packaging.
