I'm orphaning the libwhisker-perl package. I adopt it because
nikto which I also packaged needed it. 
But it is not well written and the worst part it is not avaialble in
CPAN.
If somebody want to adopt it please check the code first.
or it will be better that it will remove from debian.

I had adopted nikto earlier ,but its takes libwhisker-perl which is not well
written and not in available in CPAN.
I don't think that libwhicker-perl has to be in debian .But if you find
sponsor go ahead with that.

Yes you are right libmath-pari-perl require crypt::dsa and
convert::pem, and convert:pem is in unstable now.

I have completed crypt::dsa also.But i am not in Bangalore ,( i am in
my native place) and checking my mails after a long time whenever i
will be in bangalore i will upload it to svn.

Net::SSH::Perl is an all-Perl module implementing an SSH (Secure Shell)

ssh clients is that it saves on process overhead: you no longer need to fork
and execute a separate process in order to connect to an sshd. Depending on
the amount of time and memory needed to fork a process, this win can be
quite substantial; particularly if you're running in a persistent Perl
environment (mod_perl, for example), where forking a new process is a drain
on process and memory resources.

It also simplifies the process of using password-based authentications; when
writing a wrapper around ssh you probably need to use Expect to control the
ssh client and give it your password. Net::SSH::Perl has built-in support
for the authentication protocols, so there's no longer any hassle of
communicating with any external processes.

The SSH2 protocol support (present in Net::SSH::Perl as of version 1.00) is
compatible with the SSH2 implementation in OpenSSH, and should also be fully
compatible with the "official" SSH implementation. If you find an SSH2
implementation that is not compatible with Net::SSH::Perl, please let me
know (email address down in AUTHOR & COPYRIGHTS); it turns out that some
SSH2 implementations have subtle differences from others. 3DES (3des-cbc),
Blowfish (blowfish-cbc), and RC4 (arcfour) ciphers are currently supported
for SSH2 encryption, and integrity checking is performed by either the
hmac-sha1 or hmac-md5 algorithms. Compression, if requested, is limited to
Zlib. Supported server host key algorithms are ssh-dss (the default) and
ssh-rsa (requires Crypt::RSA); supported SSH2 public key authentication
algorithms are the same.

I fail to see the need to package a few dozen of lines of perl that simply
parse RFC2822-compatible headers when we have lots of well tested code to
handle those.

This module has seen a single release numbered 0.01, and it dates back to
2 years ago already.

Deepak, please don't package every useless bit of perl.

Furthermore, your comparison doesn't seem correct. I don't see a direct
parser of Packages file in AptPkg. You have to go through all the Apt
setup. They don't have the same use case. However DPKG::Parse has IMO
no use case at all

  

it was not in package AptPkg it is in DPKG::Parse.

I have written (or seen) perl code to parse Packages file in numerous places
(debian-cd for example) and you really don't need a dedicated module for
that. And the available file used by this module is probably not
meaningful on most systems... it's mainly a dselect file which is nowadays
replaced by /var/lib/apt/lists/*.
