Bug#236163: ITP: kernel-patch-bluez -- Linux Bluetooth protocol stack kernel patches
As of about 2.4.21, there's enough in the mainstream Linux kernel to support most Bluetooth operations. Beyond that, the patches tend to incorporate fixes that BlueZ want to get into Linux but haven't yet. So, these patches are pretty much essential for kernels 2.4.18-2.4.20, and very helpful for 2.4.21 to 2.4.26. In the 2.6 series, the BlueZ guys have a lot more luck at merging right into the next kernel revision, so packaging these patches doesn't seem worth it there. -- Edd signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part

Bug#159651: No longer intend to package this
retitle 159651 RFP: bluez-bluefw -- Firmware loader for BCM2003 Bluetooth devices thanks As kernel 2.6 has firmware loading support, this package is only required for 2.4. As it is also at least partially non-free, I don't have time to pursue the division of firmware and its packaging in Debian. I will keep the bluez-bluefw package at the BlueZ site (bluez.org) up to date as far as I am able, but I do not intend to maintain this in Debian itself. -- Edd signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part
Bug#205250: coming soon
Now I've got epiphany 1.2 into experimental, expect to see the plugins package come soon. Note that it will likely be called epiphany-extensions, as plugins is an overloaded term. -- Edd signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part
Bug#159651: bluez-bluefw -- State of package
Hi The current state of bluez-bluefw is that I've built experimental packages, available from http://bluez.sf.net/download/debian I currently consider the software too buggy to upload to the archive, for the following reasons: * it will only work with UHCI USB controllers * it will not compile on non-i386 architecture -- Edd Dumbill
Bug#162494: ITP: bluez-hcidump -- Analyses Bluetooth HCI packets

Bug#159651: ITP: bluez-bluefw -- Firmware loader for BCM2003 Bluetooth devices
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist * Package name: bluez-bluefw Version : 0.5 Upstream Author : Maxim Krasnyansky [EMAIL PROTECTED] * URL : http://bluez.sf.net/ * License : GPL Description : Firmware loader for Broadcom BCM2003 Bluetooth devices bluez-bluefw is a firmware loader for Bluetooth devices using the Broadcom BCM2033 chipset. This consists of two components: (a) GPL'd software for loading the firmware (b) The binary-only firmware itself (Broadcom have approved its distribution) My intent is to make two packages, bluez-bluefw and bluez-bluefw-firmware. The latter would have to go into non-free, and the former into contrib as it requires a non-free package to function.

Bug#145380: ITP: libbluetooth -- Library to use the BlueZ Linux Bluetooth stack
On Wed, 2002-05-01 at 13:39, Junichi Uekawa wrote: The source package does not need to be renamed to libbluetooth. the source package can still be called bluez-libs, as upstream calls it, while the binary packages be called libbluetooth Thanks for pointing this out. That makes sense. You have read my libpkg-guide ? Yes, I took a look at it this morning as I was reading through the ITPs for other libraries. It's a useful document, thank you. -- Edd signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part
