Bug#834848: RFA: guilt -- quilt for git; similar to Mercurial queues

2016-08-19 Thread Iulian Udrea
Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

Long description:

Guilt (Git Quilt) is a series of bash scripts which add a Mercurial queues-like
functionality and interface to git. The one distinguishing feature from other
quilt-like porcelains, is the format of the patches directory.
.
All the information is stored as plain text - a series file and the patches (one
per file). This easily lends itself to versioning the patches using any number
of SCMs.

Bug#690182: RFA: git-cola -- highly caffeinated git GUI

2012-10-16 Thread Iulian Udrea
A package can have multiple maintainers and thus David could be added as an
uploader so he can upload it himself when you're missing.

David: the channel #debian-python on OFTC is a great resource for people who
maintain python-related packages in Debian. They know everything about
Python.
#debian-mentors is for general Debian packaging questions. They both have
mailing lists and thus it's a good idea to read those. Other than that, just
start playing with the package. Also, the following pages might be useful:

- http://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/index.html
- http://wiki.debian.org/Python

Daniel: I've used git to maintain git-cola, it'd be nice if you could just
grab
the repo and start from there. See
http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=collab-maint/git-cola.git;a=summary

Bug#690182: about takeover of ITA: git-cola -- highly caffeinated git GUI

 Hi Daniel,

 I'm a Debian Developer and have a working v1.8.0 package of git-cola
ready to be uploaded. I've fixed everything, the new homepage, move to
dh_python2 and link to jQuery and Underscore javascript libraries. The
watch file is also updated and the package now conforms to v3.9.3 of
 Standards-Version.

However I don't want to be harsh with you. Asking for your permission to
 take over this ITA.

Brilliant. Thanks a lot Laszlo!

expressions on the fields, and only get what you want. It can also be
made to output certain fields. As an added bonus, there is an option
 to sort the output.

 'dpkg-awk Status: .* installed$ -- Package Version Status' will
output all installed packages, with only the listed fields.
 'dpkg-awk -f=/var/lib/dpkg/available Package:^[aA].* -- Package

Is there any rdep using this library in Ubuntu? If not I guess we

Hi!

I was wondering if you still want to adopt this package.

I was wondering the same about both Robert and you. :)

If you are not interested in mmv anymore I'd be more than happy
  to adopt it.

Still interested, or did your interest move away?

I have already prepared an upload which closes a couple of bugs and
  fixes some packaging errors.

As I don't see any reference to this anywhere or any different version
of it in ubuntu (given that you have an ubuntu mail address) I guess you
 never did publish it anywhere?

So, if both of you are not interested anymore and Iulian's prepared
package is nowhere to find I am willing to do the work (again) and take
over the package, to finalize the issue.

  Thanks. :)
 Rhonda

No, I haven't uploaded anything to Ubuntu. I wanted to update it in Debian
first and then request a sync with Sid's version. As I'm not interested in
mmv anymore, you can go ahead and adopt it.

Cheers!

Unfortunately, yes. I updated the package and pushed it to git.debian.orgbut I
removed it as soon as I changed my mind regarding this bug. /me headdesk!

I will keep in mind to don't rm everything I update when I lose interest.
