Bug#474128: O: libdumbnet -- A dumb, portable networking library
retitle 474128 ITA: libdumbnet -- A dumb, portable networking library owner 474128 ! kthxbye Hi, I'll take this one. Upstream's build system is quite straightforward (once you've updated all those ancient autotools files), and getting C networking code into shape is one of my favourite tasks anyway. Package is already finished and waiting to be uploaded. Jan signature.asc Description: Digital signature
Bug#516222: RFS: libnet - orphaning libnet
Hi Stefanos, if you need help, I could lend a hand now and then. I don't have the time to maintain the package on my own, but I have a faible for old and/or undocumented C code and some experience in delving through networking code in particular, so I could e.g. help hunting bugs. Bug#485996: ITA: ircii -- Internet Relay Chat client (update)
Hi Bernd, I'm currently working with upstream to re-enable UTF support for ircii - they have reverted the old UTF patch in 2006 for performance reasons. As IMHO it doesn't make sense to upload a new Debian package that lacks UTF support, I won't change this package in the near future (read: at least two weeks - I'm still waiting for upstream to provide me with the current state of the UTF patch). If you want to get out of the Maintainer: field, feel free to upload an otherwise-unchanged upgrade and change it to me. I'll update this report when news arrive. Bug#454258: Bug#446664: inform: should this package be removed?
Hi Raphael, What's the status of this ITA? Note that, just like Lucas, I'm not interested in inform myself, but just checking packages that should probably be removed. It would be nice if you could provide some status information or even closing this report by uploading a new package revision ;) I've been busy for quite some time with other duties, but I've just started updating my packages and getting them into shape for Lenny. Inform is definitely on my todo list, and I will either release a new version or file the removal request myself. ;) Regards thanks for pinging! Jan signature.asc Description: Digital signature
Bug#454258: Bug#446664: inform: should this package be removed?
owner 454258 ! retitle 454258 ITA: inform -- A compiler for adventure games thankyou Hi Lucas, thanks for bringing this to my attention! When I had taken inform-mode, I had also looked at inform, but there were no removal bugs then, so I assumed the package was still looked after. I use inform from time to time and will definitely have a look at the package. As far as I can tell from a quick glance at the SF page, Inform 7 is under the GPL, and there are also (upstream-provided) packages for Debian and Ubuntu. Programming I7 is fundamentally different from I6, however, so we shouldn't remove one in favour of the other. (To be honest, I prefer version 6 myself.) Besides, the bugs in the current inform package are all trivially fixable... I think it's worth keeping even though the Interactive Fiction community is quite small. Thanks! Bug#414528: ITA: mdbtools -- mdbtools libraries
Hi Esteban, do you still intend to adopt the package? I'd prepare an QA upload to fix some of the outstanding bugs, but I don't want to duplicate work that you've probably already done... Regards, Jan signature.asc Description: Digital signature
Bug#305463: ITA: inform-mode -- Emacs mode for editing Inform files
package wnpp owner 305463 ! retitle 305463 ITA: inform-mode -- Emacs mode for editing Inform files tags 305463 + pending thankyou Hey, more QA work for me. ;) Upload prepared, will enter tomorrow. (I myself write inform from time to time, so removal from archive is no admissible option for me) Regards, Jan signature.asc Description: Digital signature
Bug#431715: ITA: gdome2
retitle 431715 ITA: gdome2 -- DOM level2 library for accessing XML files owner 431715 ! thankyou Hi Enrico, if you don't object, I'd like to assimilate this one into my list of dormant-upstream packages. I have built a new version that closes all open bug reports and updates the build system (debhelper v5 etc.). Regards, Jan signature.asc Description: Digital signature
Bug#404073: ITA: autofs
Hi Daniel and Steinar, This is ok with me. Fine. :-) Jan: It's yours. Take good care of it. :-) thanks to both of you! I will. Merry christmas and a happy new year! I doubt I'll manage to get an upload ready before New Year's Day, because I'm currently visiting my parents... ;-) Jan signature.asc Description: Digital signature
Bug#404073: ITA: autofs
retitle 404073 ITA: autofs -- kernel-based automounter for Linux owner 404073 ! thankyou Hi Steinar, I'm willing to adopt autofs. I work at a site with 120+ clients running autofs which I could readily use for development and testing. My present package list is rather small and contains mostly archaic software (the rxvt family, nvi etc.) that requires not much work besides the regular dustwiping. I'd coordinate sponsoring my uploads with Daniel Baumann, which works fantastic with the packages I already have. Would you agree with me adopting autofs?
