Bug#637849: ITP: python-ordereddict -- Drop-in substitute for Python 2.7's collections.OrderedDict

2011-08-15 Thread Janos Guljas
Hi Sandro,

I was not aware that 2.6 will be removed soon. If that is a case, then
this is not needed. This package is related to #526350, but of course,
it is better without it if we have only 2.7 version.

Best,
Janos

P.S.

I added Faidon in CC as I already sent him a RFS.

Bug#526350: python-celery packaging

2011-08-14 Thread Janos Guljas
Hi,

I am interested in helping Celery packaging, too. I would like to work
on updating dependencies, as well on python-celery.

There is one dependency that is not packaged but required for Python = 2.6:

  * ordereddict

I would be happy to ITP it.

From a quick look on setup.py I see this unmet dependency versions:

  * python-dateutil=1.5.0,2.0.0 (in Debian 1.4.1)
  * kombu=1.2.1,2.0.0 (in Debian 1.0.4)
  - amqplib=1.0 (in Debian 0.6.1)

Pyparsing has a newer upstream version 1.5.6 (in Debian 1.5.2) but it is
not required.

I would like to coordinate efforts to make Celery enters Debian as there
is hi interest for that.

Best,
Janos
