What are you up to with the package? Do you still intend to adopt it
  as
  your ITA is
  just over two months old...

Hi. Sorry but I haven't picked up this package as Javier Gutierrez
  asked
  me to keep it.

Hm, I'm having problems understanding the situation.

Please read my last reply at http://bugs.debian.org/196199

I've read that. I've had some troubles understanding it, though. Javier
asked you to keep your ITP, but
you haven't done anything to maintain, or package a new version of
 cacti, is that correct?

I've already ITA'ed them and I'm now looking at existing bugs.

Please don't. Let Javier reply back confirming if he wants to keep it
and if not, talk with the other guys that also asked to maintain it.

I am not planning to package it... I was quoting what you wrote...

Javier, I feel that cacti packaging has come to a halt, and Bruno who's
ITP'd it says he's waiting for you
(I hope I'm not getting anything wrong here), could you make a move to
 clarify this?

The last upload of cacti dates from the 16th of June of this year; a
new version (0.8.1) is out, and a wishlist bug has been
filed since 75 days (#198777) for that, but no move has been made since
the Orphaning of the package, although
there's this ITP placed on it...

Hoping that this can be sorted out and fresh blood^Wpackages can get
into the archive as soon as possible,
   Cheers, Arnaud

Bug#200851: Something about OGo ITP

2003-09-07 Thread Javier Viñuales Gutiérrez
Hello, somethings:

* Yes, I'm the three ITP's groupware related, is it bad?. I'm really
interested in this software, ... I don't understand you :-(

* The debian packages from OGo dev team are usefull to start to play
with the software but are bad package, Dan Bar said to the OGo devel
list about the non FHS compliant problem, and another one like pre*
scripts entries needed, the OGo must not need a Howto to start with it.

Some people email to ask me about guide all OGo debian related task
through alioth... it's an interesting thing, anybody want I do it?,
anybody are interested in OGo debian team?. It'd be good a mailing list
like debian-ogo, isn't it?.

Greetings

Hmm. I don't really like this long description - when I install the
server as a Debian package, I don't mind that it depends on a zillion
 Debian specific things.

Perhaps just say what the kroupware project can do?

You're talking about the Debian package, this ITP talk about the Intend
to Package this piece of software and I must to describe what is
kolab-server, Kolab, Kroupware and so on.

I'm a Debian developer and it's not necesary to do an ITP to package
kolab-server but I want to prevent other people from doing the same job.
Thank you.

Description : The server from the Kroupware Project's groupware suite

Kroupware Project's groupware suite. This highly scalable and secure
solution is strictly based on a client/server architecture. The server
part of the groupware solution, herein referred to as Kolab Server
runs on GNU/Linux, namely on a current distribution of Debian, Red Hat
or SuSE. We minimized the usage of Linux distribution dependencies in
order to gain maximal portability. In order to be able to apply readily
available security updates in a timely manner employment of a
well-maintained GNU/Linux distribution like the above mentioned seems
desirable. The goal is that standard security updates as provided by
these vendors can be installed without affecting the Kolab server
functionality.
