Bug#966315: (Requesting sponsorship) Re: Bug#966315: ITP: age -- simple, modern and secure encryption tool
Hello. So, apart from the issue I reported in my previous message, I believe the package is ready to be included in Debian. If a kind member could help me get this “finalized” I’d be very happy :) -- Johan Fleury signature.asc Description: OpenPGP digital signature
Bug#966315: RFP: age -- simple, modern and secure encryption tool with small explicit keys, no config options, and UNIX-style composability
retitle 966315 ITP: age -- simple, modern and secure encryption tool thanks I started working on this package and I put my changes on salsa[1]. I could use some help/review from the Golang team to solve these 3 errors reported by Lintian: * E: age: statically-linked-binary usr/bin/age-keygen * W: age: hardening-no-pie usr/bin/age * W: age: hardening-no-relro usr/bin/age I fixed this by overriding `dh_auto_build` in `d/rules`, but I’m not sure if that’s the correct way to do it: ``` override_dh_auto_build: dh_auto_build -O--builddirectory=_build -O--buildsystem=golang -- -buildmode=pie ``` [1] https://salsa.debian.org/Arcaik/age -- Johan Fleury signature.asc Description: OpenPGP digital signature

Bug#958832: RFP: firmware-sof -- open source audio Digital Signal Processing (DSP) firmware infrastructure and SDK
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist * Package name: firmware-sof Version : 1.4.2 Upstream Author : Multiple Authors * URL : https://www.sofproject.org/ https://thesofproject.github.io/ https://github.com/thesofproject/sof * License : BSD, ISC Programming Lang: C Description : open source audio Digital Signal Processing (DSP) firmware infrastructure and SDK --- I am the owner of a 7th generation Thinkpad X1 Carbon on which there are a lot of audio has a lot of problem (for instance on kernel 5.5, sound card is not even detected by alsa). Most of the online forums and wiki (the Arch Linux wiki for instance [1]) tell the users to install firmware files directly from the sofproject's Github repository to fix those issues. I believe it would be better if one could install theses firmware directly from the Debian repositories. Bug#851639: ITP: alacritty -- A cross-platform, GPU-accelerated terminal emulator
Hi Félix. I’m not really into Rust nor Rust packaging in Debian, could you elaborate a bit more on why Debian requires Alacritty to be hosted on crates.io? According to the discussion in alacritty#357 [1], upstream can’t or won't publish to crates.io. It seems that there hasn't been any progress on this RFP/ITP since 2017, is there any way one can help (I couldn't find any repo on salsa)? Bug#887809: RFP: borgmatic -- A wrapper script for Borg backup software that creates and prunes backups
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Package name: borgmatic Version : 1.1.9 Upstream Author : Dan Helfman (witten) URL : http://www.example.org/ License : GPLv3 Programming Lang: Python Description : A wrapper script for Borg backup software that creates and prunes backups Hi Most of the time, borg (that is package under the name borgbackup) is used with wrappers that manages archives creation and deletion in a more convenient way. One of the most popular borg wrapper is borgmatic, a Python script that can be configured using YAML files. borgmatic is available on PyPI and all its dependencies except pykwalify, a YAML/JSON validator [1], can be found in Debian repositories. It would be nice to have it packaged along borg. Thanks in advance. --- [1] https://pypi.python.org/pypi/pykwalify/
